SOLD| Ford v. Ferrari

The GTD-40 was a near-identical recreation of the lemans-winning icon from Ford. Founded in England in 1987, this company founded by Ray Christopher has become infamous for its quality and attention to detail. GT developments molds were eventually sold to California Advanced Vehicles, CAV, who still produce a GT40 replica to this day. In its day, this kit was as close as you were going to get to the real deal (before the arrival of Superformance, Thunder Ranch, and others). Likely due to cost, £26,000 at their debut ($126,000 in 2025), less than 650 were ever sold with even fewer being imported to the United States. This example, clearly destined for the American market by its left-hand driving position, was ordered as part of a batch by an American Businessman around 2004. Originally red with black wheels, the car was repainted and completed to running order, under my possession.
