Meant to post this on July 5th… in celebration of the first day of #LilithFair back in 1997. I worked as an usher at an outdoor amphitheater in my hometown so was able to see it that year, as well as in 1998 and 1999. #SarahMcLachlan was a huge inspiration for me, through her music and empowerment of women. Much has changed for the better and still room for lots (LOTS) of improvement in this industry. I’m still working my hardest to make that little girl proud. My goal is to inspire other female musicians to be bold, courageous and never give up. Take up space and know your worth. I’m so grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had and I’m super proud of my tenacity… because it’s been a roller coaster… an adventure to say the least. I should really write a book ❤️❤️❤️ #womeninmusic #stayingTheCourse by @theangieswan

It was an absolute honor to perform at @carnegiehall Zankel Hall this past weekend with @deborahsilvermusic @stellakcole @jonsecada @mikasecada and the incomparable legend herself @mayemarilyn who filled in for Ms. Warwick at the last minute. I have to tell you, Marilyn is a force to be reckoned with. 98 years old, stepped in 5 hours before the show and totally crushed it!!! The event was a fundraiser concert dedicated to raising awareness and providing crucial support for those affected by ALS. An incredible performance by the band, we were deeply fortunate to be guided and directed by Nick Petrillo @nickpmusic . @sherriemaricle @thebasschica @summercamargomusic @veronisonic @ariastilesfiddle @marielbildsten ✨Thank you to @thomasrodriguezgallogly for being a wonderful EP and helping make everything run so smoothly!! Also grateful to @standrman and his support. Also our stage manager #TatianaMontes. After the concert, we celebrated Deborah’s birthday at the Plaza hotel. Met so many amazing people. Jazz, martinis and good vibes. A Quintessential New York night. And huge thanks to Dave and Beth at @gibsonguitar for helping me out with a 335 at the last second… what a beautiful instrument. ✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨ by @theangieswan

Excited to play guitar for @deborahsilvermusic , Stella Cole, Jon & Mikaela Secada and the legend herself Dionne Warwick. Will be a memorable evening! If you’re in New York, please come and support! There are still some tickets available. Check carnegiehall.org ❤️✨❤️✨❤️ by @theangieswan

Today was a beautiful day! Got to reconnect with some friends and guitar instructors from Berklee. So incredible to see the homie @mononeon and @davidfiuczynski perform together. Really fascinating as well to listen to each of them speak about their approach to their methods of playing. Later in the day I paid a surprise visit to @normzocher and @abigailzocher … I learned so much from all of them! It was so uplifting to be surrounded by so many students and watch them absorb in real time. My heart is SO full! The past few weeks on the East Coast have definitely reawakened something in me.. a reminder of why I started playing music in the first place. The business can make you very jaded as we deal with a lot (A LOT) of craziness behind the scenes (I need to write a book). However, I’m doing what I love to do and I’m still extremely grateful to be able to do so. I look forward to bringing this re-inspiration back to Las Vegas ✨✨✨#boston #berklee by @theangieswan
