POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We are thrilled to share the cover of our forthcoming sophomore album AIRA today.

All credit goes to Austin Trotter, our friend and dear collaborator, who is an invaluable resource and visionary artist. 👨‍🎨 His 4-panel work, which we serially featured on our first three singles, provides the visual identity for this concept album about a ragtag collective of scientists who venture to leave a dying world in search of a new home.

While wearing a pair of red and blue anaglyph glasses (available on our Bandcamp now), the viewer can emphasize the red or blue elements of the artwork by closing one eye and opening the other. If you have a pair lying around, put them on for maximum effect!

AIRA is due late November/early December. More TBA soon.

ROD OF GOD

Aboard the raft most were weeping. With all their provisions, the 15 on board might be able to survive a few months…if they could just return to the ship, they might be able to repair it…. But there was no going back. The United World government would soon send a tow ship to haul The Vogel back to Earth; it would be prepared, provisioned, and outfitted for their purposes.

For AIRA, there was only a sea of nothingness, and a raft—outfitted for short rendezvous and reconnaissance missions at most—to sail on. What remained was starvation, asphyxiation, despair, madness, and either the slow or quick acceptance of death.

For weeks, Noah raged. In his mind, he imagined the raft screaming back down to Earth like a meteor. He wanted nothing more than turn this raft into a speeding warhead—a Rod of God. For the first time in his life, Noah rued that he had become an astronaut rather than a destroyer of worlds.
