Designed as an invitation to slow down. A study reminiscent of lounging with a book for hours until sundown. Offering varying degrees of focus, to work, to read, to unwind.

Here, light is the only measure of time, creating a sanctuary for enjoying solitude, sharing deep conversations, or simply escaping the clock.

COOP d’ Cluck — Modular Contemporary Coop
Location — Dobrava pri Škocjanu, Slovenia

Set within a farmland, this modular structure is a two unit coop with the first module dedicated as an introverted, dimly lit shade designed for sleeping, resting, and nesting. While the second unit connects to the outdoors, providing ample natural light and direct ventilation for hens to enjoy eating and playing.

COOP d’ Cluck — Modular Contemporary Coop
Location — Dobrava pri Škocjanu, Slovenia

Wooden structure with wooden planks and plywood is used as main structure. With rammed earth as benches and planters as zones of human interaction. Steel wire mesh provides needed protection from predators, as well as connection to the context, from pottery studio to the stable, and farm yard to the forest beyond.

Modular in nature, the coop can expand, retract, and be rearranged, to change the living experience for the hens as desired. These variations can also account for climate with arrangements becoming more open or cosier when hens prefer to have their own private quiet time.

COOP d’ Cluck — Modular Contemporary Coop
Location — Dobrava pri Škocjanu, Slovenia

The proposed Chicken Coop is a modular structure which allows for incremental growth in multiple directions. Set in alignment with the north entrance, the structure allows for plug-in elements with layered experiences for all ten hens.

From nesting areas, to perching places, from feeding zones, to edible plants, COOP d’ Cluck offers hens spaces of function and comfort.

The structure allows for maximum natural light in the feeding zone, while nestng and perching areas have a dimmer and shaded atmosphere. Cross-ventilation keeps both zones fresh and natural for the habitants of the coop.

Lived-in Spaces series
Between Calm and Stillness

This project offered a unique opportunity of designing experiences through furniture. Envisioned as a space of calm and relaxation, the low lying bed was designed as an extension of various activities of rest and retreat. The Master Bed becomes a space to sleep, binge watch series on a rainy day, and read books on a slow Sunday morning.

The open lounge is home to our Bench, Liminal Sofa, and the Riddle Coffee Table, each designed with a lot of care and love, to create beautiful lived experiences.

All furniture designed by us has been beautifully crafted and fabricated by Junaid @junaidandsaifworkshop

Special thanks to Saiff Ali Akbar @saiffakbar who believed in our vision for the space.

Artwork within the space is by wonderful artists Usman Ansari @pull_ke_us_paar and Rabia Ali @rabiaaali

Riddle Side Table
Furniture Design

Life around Objects — focuses on our original furniture pieces designed for our clients. The Riddle Side Table is inspired by Japanese joinery, finished in Shou Sugi Ban (also known as Yakisugi) technique of charring wood, making it resistant to fire, insects, and most importantly decay.

Designed as a series of vertical and horizontal wooden planks interlocking together to form a simple yet visibly detailed side table.

This design was beautifully fabricated with the help of craftsman @junaidandsaifworkshop

DM for orders and details.

Lived-in Spaces series
N2 Residence

Designed for Nizam and Nishat, these spaces are home to their every day rituals of living, relaxing, working, and hosting.

The placement of spaces allows for natural light to flow in, making this home feel light and open. Earthy palette enhances the warmth of space, as light changes throughout the day and seasons.

Blurred lines between living, dining, and kitchen reflect day to day living as well as naturally ventilate spaces keeping them comfortable and airy.

Each space is designed and detailed to celebrate the everyday, daily practicalities, and create moments of slowness, contemplation, and quiet reminiscence.

The Commons Table began with an image familiar to Mumbai: a person on the phone in a moving train—hundreds around them, yet each in their own bubble. Everyone alone together, multitasking through motion, coexisting in parallel worlds. This became our entry into Mumbai Transcripts.⁣
⁣
The pavilion stages this condition. People sit close but angled apart; proximity and privacy in quiet tension. You notice others in your periphery yet remain in your own interior world. It works like a small compartment of the city—allowing listening and looking without intrusion.⁣
⁣
On the NCPA lawns for ADFF:STIR, supported by Jaquar, it shifted through the day: a shaded commons, an informal forum, a viewing chamber for sound and light, or simply a diagonal passage across the grounds. Open-ended and porous, it made space for both motion and pause.⁣
⁣
This was shortlisted among the top 15 practices. While it wasn’t among the final 10 selected for realisation, we’re grateful to be a part of this so far.⁣

Our proposal for ADFF:STIR Pavilion Park 2026, supported by Jaquar, imagined the pavilion’s afterlife beyond the exhibition — not as a temporary installation but as a continuing commons for Bombay. Built from a single-size mild steel pipe system with modular bolted joints and a lightweight GI sheet canopy, the pavilion was designed for durability, easy assembly, and complete reusability. Its minimal material palette allowed for optimisation, reduced waste, and clean dismantling, enabling the structure to be relocated, resized, or transformed without loss of material.⁣

The GI canopy, formed as an inverted arch, offered shade and reflection, while the long table at its centre could continue as a public platform in any future setting. Every component — pipe, bolt, canopy, or surface — was planned with a second life in mind, allowing the pavilion to be repurposed in cultural institutions, campuses, or community grounds as a shaded, democratic gathering space.

This was shortlisted among the top 15 practices. While it wasn’t among the final 10 selected for realisation, we’re grateful to be a part of this so far.⁣⁣
