Threshold farming continues! 🚜🔥 A little training photo dump from the past few weeks. Still adjusting to the new life and new schedule. Honestly, I expected things to be much worse, but so far it’s pretty doable! 😅 Not training nearly as much as I used to, but that’s okay. I’m pretty sure there’s still plenty of room to grow and get stronger. And being surrounded by young, hungry, and talented athletes from @fyt_team_ gives me plenty of motivation to keep pushing hard! 💪 Still figuring out the new routine, so the 2027 race calendar is TBD. But it’s definitely time to pick a full Ironman and take a serious shot at qualifying for Kona! 🌺 The grind continues. Just a little differently now. 🤙 by @theantonkomarov

Training interrupted for a very important pit stop 😄 From racing and training straight to the delivery room. New training partner just dropped. 👶 Looks like our sport just got one more pair of legs!🦵🦵 A new chapter starts now — and the grind doesn’t stop. FULL GAS!!! by @theantonkomarov
IRONMAN 70.3 Santa Cruz Put together a pretty damn good race and managed to finish high in a very strong field. But honestly, the best part was just being out there racing, suffering, smiling, and having a great time. Huge thanks to everyone who screamed my name on course, came over to say hi, supported me on race day, and to everyone who has been part of this crazy adventure over the last five years. Big thanks to my coach @jim_lubinski the whole @tower26 crew, and all the friends I’ve trained and raced with along the way 🫡 This sport is pure fun. I’ll be back. Hopefully faster, definitely more dangerous. 😈 So keep training… or you’re all screwed. 😂 by @theantonkomarov
Another Santa Barbara Triathlon in the books! 🔥 @sbtriathlon A quality finish to a solid training week — awesome place, great people, and some serious heat! ☀️ Extra special to share the course with my young @fyt_team_ athletes and watch them race out there while getting my own work done. A good race and my first podium here. Always cool to share it with such strong athletes! 🥈 A couple more weeks of training and then Santa Cruz 70.3 — the last dance of 2026 🫡 @jim_lubinski @tower_26 by @theantonkomarov
Training update & Instagram check-in. After a couple of weeks of unstructured training, our first @fyt_team_ camp with some of the top athletes in California, and the team’s first experience at Nationals — with several National Champions and a Top-5 team finish in the nation — I came back seriously inspired by these kids. Now it’s my turn to get back to work. Four more weeks of discipline and as much quality work as possible before Santa Cruz 70.3. 🫡 At this point, I’m not even sure what I enjoy more — training myself or training these young machines. Probably both. 😎 Let’s work. by @theantonkomarov
🏔️ Another incredible weekend for First Youth Triathlon Team at the Donner Lake Triathlon. It was about confidence, resilience, and seeing our athletes take on one of the most challenging open water races of the year. From first-time open water triathletes to overall champions, every athlete showed tremendous courage and growth. We couldn’t be prouder of the progress this team has made. We’re proud to say that FYTT is the top high school youth triathlon team in Northern California, and these results are a reflection of the hard work our athletes put in every single day, the commitment of our families, and the incredible team culture we’ve built together. A huge congratulations to all of our Beginners, Juniors, and Varsity athletes for another successful race weekend. Another year, another attempt to become a runner… a fast runner. 😄 Over the last 12 weeks I’ve gradually built my run volume from almost nothing (after racing Oceanside and Napa Valley) to 5+ hours per week (close to my max weeks for full IM prep), all on top of swimming and cycling. The goal was simply to stay healthy, be consistent, and keep stacking week after week. Now there are 8 weeks to go. First stop: #SantaBarbaraTriaton (10 miles). Then: #SantaCruz703 (13.1-mile run). Will it be enough to set a new PR? We’ll find out soon. What would you do over the next 8 weeks to get faster? Please leave your recommendations in the comments. 👇 by @theantonkomarov
10 weeks to Santa Cruz 70.3 Nothing fancy. Just consistent work. Swipe to see what a typical week looks like ➡️ Hopefully I’ve got 10 more weeks of this in the tank 😄 . #triathlontraining #tower26 #fytteam by @theantonkomarov
10 weeks to Santa Barbara. 12 weeks to Santa Cruz. 🚀 I’ve been pretty quiet online lately, but the work has been getting done behind the scenes. For the last 6–8 weeks it’s been simple: VO2 max, threshold, recovery, repeat. Building fitness while trying to stay healthy and avoid being smashed. Another 17+ hour week in the bank ✅ Still working hard on the swim. Progress in the pool is there — but not enough for open water yet. Bike is rolling. Run volume is building. The goal: 20+ hour weeks for the next 10 weeks 🤞🏼 Let’s go. 🔥 . #roadtoSantaCruz#tower26#fytteam#ironmantrainning by @theantonkomarov
🏊‍♂️🏃‍♂️ Cupertino Splash & Dash @fyt_team_ is back on Top! 🔥 Right in the middle of a training week, we traded Thursday practice for #raceday and headed to Cupertino for some open water swimming, racing, and a chance to test our fitness. Highlights of the day: 🏆 Coach Aleksei @a.averchenko93 took the Overall Win — back to racing, back to the top! 🥉 Fyodor, welcome to long course racing! A fantastic 3rd place overall finish and, for the first time, a win over Coach Anton. A big step in the right direction. Congratulations! 👊 Girls dominated the race with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th place finishes. 👊 Boys delivered 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th place finishes. Another outstanding day for the team — podiums, victories, open water racing, fitness testing, and most importantly, having fun. Keep building. Keep learning. Keep moving forward. See you at practice! . #FYTTeam #FirstYouthTriathlonTeam #SplashAndDash #YouthTriathlon by @theantonkomarov
