If you’ve ever lost a soul dog, you already know, this kind of love doesn’t end, it just changes form. He was my true best friend, my unconditional love, my constant, and my soulmate. It’s been over 3 years now, but I still think of him like it just happened. My baby, Charlie. 🩵🌈

Whatever you do when leaving your home for the day: do NOT, *I repeat*, do NOT look back. 😭

Wally, Stella, and Dante are always together, and unfortunately they all watch me walk to my car as I leave in the mornings. We had our windows open to enjoy a nice, cool morning. I thought I heard my husband say something. I turned around, and that was my view. 😭

Life lately has looked like settling into my new job, being baptized in a river (Appalachian style, of course), spending time with friends, and giving Stella and Dante plenty of time to adjust to their new lives with us. We’ve also been deeply saddened by the passing of our queen, Dolly Parton. Appalachia just won’t feel quite the same without her. 🦋

I finally found the grooming table from my picture on Facebook Marketplace, which means I now have an elevated place to bathe and groom the dogs, at least while the weather is warm! I used it for Dante’s very first grooming session, and honestly… he didn’t do too bad.

We’ve been busy living life away from the screen, but I’m ready to start sharing our little corner of Appalachia again, hopefully with life slowing down just a fuzz. 🌿🐾

I don’t think Wally has voluntarily gotten out of this bed since we put it down. 😂

He’s always been a dog that loves having somewhere cozy to curl up, and this one has definitely become his spot. The raised sides are perfect for resting his head, and it’s soft enough that he just melts into it.

I’d say the @friendsforeverpets Oval Nesting Dog Bed got Wally’s approval. 🤎 Thanks for letting us try it out!

I will never pass up the opportunity to post a Taylor Swift song on this account. 😩 Get up!!! It’s…AUUUUUGGUUUUUST! Technically it’s August 2nd, but August none the less.

It is my monthly reminder (as a veterinary professional I cannot help myself) to give your pups’ their preventions so there’s no fleas, ticks, heartworms, or parasites. 😌🪱🫀

I’m starting the craziest, busiest month of life thus far but will always make time for the babies. Question for Dalmatian owners: do your Dal’s actually like water?! Of my 4: they’re half and half. Perdita and Juniper enjoy it; Draco and Stella? Not so much.
