I took my mom to see Sasha Velour’s “Nightgowns,” a superb drag show in the West Village that features up-and-coming as well as celebrated queens. This show starred three eminent talents: @queenutica, @pythia.queen, and @essanoche. We loved it!!! Brava!! taken in Le Poisson Rouge by @theartcorps

The tile obsession lives on! While quickly visiting Lisbon this week, I returned to the National Tile Museum (Museu Nacional do Azulejos) and saw these fine 15-16th Century examples of the “cuerda seca” technique, whereupon they laid cord down to separate pigments. When placed in the kiln, the cords would burn off, leaving such distinct and colorful patterns.
