I can’t believe I never read Nancy Drew books! I was reading Harriet the Spy and Cam Jansen and Something Queer books. I really enjoyed The Secret of the Old Clock! Just in time for tomorrow’s @joinherliterarysociety webinar with Jennifer Fisher, a Nancy Drew expert. Looking forward to it! 🕵🏻‍♀️

Thanks to @anidifranco for keeping me singin’ and groovin’ while unwrapping and setting out my treasured Halloween decorations and artist creations…this special album signed by the @righteousbabe herself in Madison. This was a fun evening. 🎃🍂

Let’s kick off Banned Book Week with captures from seeing the awesomely cool and talented @jodipicoult 🙌🏻 I am a long-time fan and have read all of Jodi’s books, except for her 30th book, Hollow Bones, which I’m going to devour over the long weekend. The Pact was Jodi’s first book I read, and I was instantly hooked. I remember driving all the way to a Waldenbooks in some mall to see her back in 2002 and because I drove the farthest, I won the Perfect Match shirt that I keep in my little home library. Jodi is a fantastic author and researcher, but she is also just a good person…feminist to the core, a fellow Ani DiFranco fan, and an activist fighting the good fight. When we had our photo taken, I missed getting to express my gratitude and bumbled about the Ani bootleg cd I gave her once. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So let me say it now…Thank you, Jodi! You rock! P.S. I loved the dress!!

Walked for an hour today without the knee compression sleeve on and without taking Meloxicam. I’m not feeling 100% yet, but it’s progress. ☺️ by @theartgrrrl

I had such a blast at the @renegadecraft fair in Chicago, and one of the highlights was meeting @meanmuggin_ceramics and seeing her rad ceramic pieces! I fell in love with this anxiety mug because it me. 🙃

At the end of last pumpkin/gourd season, Jamie smashed the ones we decorated with in this one area in the backyard, and all of these have grown from that! Critters got a couple and we still might get some more…makes me happy! 🎃☺️🍂🥰🍁

I got an email this morning from that sweet former student who came back to visit me recently. She said that the Library teacher in the junior high said Ms.
Velasco does a lot for Destiny Discover for the district. I called my Library friend, and I find out she was about to email me that any time they’re working on finding books on the shelf, it’s the Dooley students who always know how to do it. She continued on saying that now when she starts class, she asks where the Dooley students are because they’ll be able to help. It really made my day, if not my career! | really try to do a good job teaching kids how to find books in the library, and I’m so glad to see they’re taking this skill with them in their lives. 🥰
