Weave with TAG x @africa.collect.textiles @thedeck.restaurant @hemingwaysedenresidence

Weaving is more than just a craft, it’s an experience
that brings people together, one thread at a time. The
moment you sit at the loom, something shifts.
The rhythmic dance of your hands weaving patterns
becomes a meditation, quieting the noise of the world.
Through the eyes of a weaver, you’ll witness the true
artistry hidden in textiles. It’s a process that awakens
creativity and grounds you in the present. As the fabric
yarn come together, so do your thoughts reflecting on
the journey of clothing and its impact on our lives and
the planet.
Weaving isn’t just about making; it’s about
understanding. It gently unravels the story of textile
waste, encouraging thoughtful solutions and inspiring a
deeper connection to sustainability

Book a session through us and enjoy a meditative experience surrounded in natures Eden

Wabuni First Wednesday #6

Sisi ni Wabuni. Last week's fireside brought together fashion designers, makers, artists, and creative enthusiasts for an evening with curator extraordinaire Neha Parmar, founder of The Artisanal Gallery — the platform for shopping and experiencing authentic haute couture by African-based designers and makers.

Neha unpacked what her discerning international clientele really look for: authenticity — in design, craftsmanship, and material use — and a shopping experience worth returning for.
Good conversation, great crowd, better company.

Save the date we're back on October 7th with Mutinda Kilonzo, Co-founder of Drunken Lectures, for our next fireside conversation.

📍 @wabunisocialklub — join us for the next one.

An honor to learn about @aboubakarfofana ‘s work in Mali and France; it exemplifies what it truly means to be human; the word human is derived from the Latin word humus, meaning earth, and humility- all the characteristics that are displayed in Abou’s work of farming, producing and working with natural indigo dye, and furthermore, collaborating it into functional fabric(s).

Thank you to my dear friend @peterhac & @afrika.housekenya for hosting such special gatherings

It’s cool to know who made your clothes, handbags !
Even cooler to know how.
Palm. Water. Sun. Hands. Time.
Nothing rushed. Nothing wasted.

From palm to piece.
From nature to material .
From her hands to yours.
This is African luxury. taken in Malindi, Kenya by @theartisanalgallery
