I miss my favorite girl today (and always). Truly my twin in every way. Birthday three days apart, lover of God and the arts, sweet to the words and touch. It's been so long, but it feels like yesterday still. by @theartiscalling

How are you enjoying the view?
I still haven't met anyone as sweet as you.
Every time I see Magnolia, I see you..
I breathe you..
I'm back in need of you..

Like a little girl, sometimes I only want one person.
Sometimes, I truly want to return to old versions.
Old feelings mixed with new ones resurfaced..
Repurposed..
Resurgence..

Rest in heaven?
I know what you really do.
Whispering to God for new blessings to come through...
To prune the bad branches that grew..
To keep waking me up feeling refreshed and anew.

Momma, how are you and daddy enjoying the view?
I hope i become just as sweet as you 🪷

"This is the life that God planned for me, you know." ✨️ @experiencehattiloo

Doing this show has been more than just sharing my gifts. On and off stage, we have shared our hearts, our stories, our families, and our futures. We have been given the honor of telling the stories of women who look like us but are fighting battles that we could never truly understand. However, we can do our best to relate, restore, and revere through our words, emotions, and performance.

Come see Jaja's African Hair Braiding at my creative home, Hattiloo Theatre ✨️ The only black freestanding repertory theatre in our region!!! by @theartiscalling

✨️🌼✨️ we are walking flowers ✨️🌼✨️
with different colors, from different soils, too
complimenting one another
no one is more beautiful than the other's hue
✨️💎✨️ you and me are walking jewels ✨️💎✨️
expressions of God and His living truth, too
growing together in each one's time
with each one's need for each one's life

painting abstract again in a n.e.w. way. so challenging, yet so freeing! it wasn't just about the colors, but the messages in their frequency, position, saturation, and more. by @theartiscalling
