That’s exactly what Career Day at The Artist Workshop was built to do.

#ThrowbackThursday to one of our favorite workshops, where aspiring artists, filmmakers, musicians, writers, producers, and entrepreneurs had the opportunity to learn directly from professionals who’ve helped shape the entertainment industry.

Led by @Shyanselah, this panel featured executives, producers, writers, media strategists, and creatives who shared practical advice on landing auditions, breaking into film and television, building careers in music, finding internships, growing professional networks, and creating opportunities that last.

No gatekeeping.

Just honest conversations from people who’ve done the work.

#Throwbackthursday to one of the rooms that helped shape the vision.

The Artist Workshop was never just about panels or microphones. It was about creating access. Real conversations. Real game. Real people willing to pull back the curtain on the entertainment industry and tell the truth about what it actually takes to build something meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who participated in The Artist Workshop: Entertainment 101 event this past Friday! Entertainment 101 brought together an incredible mix of students, creatives, and entrepreneurs ready to learn the business behind the art.

Hosted at The @collectiveseattle, the evening featured powerhouse panelists — @shyanselah, @nfajeff, @@johnsilvahp, and @kaistreets — who shared real-world stories and insider knowledge from their journeys in music, film, fashion, media, and tech.

From passionate high school students asking thoughtful questions to industry veterans dropping gems about creativity, ownership, and purpose — this workshop was pure inspiration.

As always a major shout out to our production team at @theSelahFoundation and @bnwglobal as well as our community partner, The Puyallup Tribe of Indians for helping make this event possible.
