What a journey! This project touched me deep in my soul. I grew up in #Iowa . I worked, lived and went to college in #cedarrapidsiowa . As I pulled up to the hotel, straight ahead I see a CRST building. My dad worked there. I knew then, this was truly meant to be. I had tears and goosebumps. I gave this project everything I had in me, and so did the team of artists and gallery owners. Hotel is still under construction so photos depict just that. Artists and teammates, @chris.childers.790 , @paperwrangler , @bobcampagna , @akwinji @gildedpeargallery , @silverspangel , @brandonreeseart ,Dave Rega, John Beckelman and Julia Kottal. John and Julia represented by Gilded Pear Gallery. Professional photos coming soon! #achotel #kingstonyardscedarrapids ❤️ @achotelcedarrapids a big thank you to Raelea, Megan, Erin, Terry, Jimmy, Linda and entire team @kinsethhospitality by @theartmakery

1798 hand painted coins based off a photo of the Cedar River in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Photo is from 1868. This beauty by @silverspangel will hang behind the reception desk at the new AC Hotel in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Such an honor since I grew up in Iowa. I went to College in CR and worked downtown near the river. I’m most proud of the connections and teaming up with several local artists. So much talent in the Midwest. A full circle moment for me. ❤️ #ACHotels by @theartmakery

My husband and I bonded over the movie “Once”. We were fortunate enough to see The Swell Season twice. First time at The Orpheum in LA and then again at the Mesa Arts Center. We also enjoyed the musical in NY. I love these photos of Glen! There will never be another like him💔 by @theartmakery

The making of 100 plus blooms for our #hotel in my home State of #Iowa. @paperwrangler is beating abaca in a Hollander beater. So much goes into creating such a fabulous installation. The blooms will hang from a grid system near the bar area of the hotel. @kinsethhospitality thank you for including The Art Makery team to be apart of your beautiful #achotel project. We are truly grateful and can’t wait for install day. 😊 by @theartmakery

Texture, thread, layers of paper and color is truly why I’m so drawn to @susansingleton_art work. I can’t get enough. So raw and pure, you feel Susan’s heart in each piece she creates. “There is something about desert colors..so soft and invisible..and the light…endless delight” - Susan Singleton. Thank you once again @ctcu for your continued support. #hoteldesign ❤️ by @theartmakery

Progress video - I like to see work as its progressing, before pieces are in their new home. 28 Mesh sculptures suspended from the ceiling, with a beautiful ombré effect. Can’t wait to see these beauties in their new home. Thank you to @studioa28_interiors for your vision and partnership, artist @atticussadams and @kre8tvguy2 for creating such wonderful sculptures and truly a joy to work with. #hotel in #clearwaterflorida curated by: #jsmiththeartmakery by @theartmakery

I love Bea’s work - it’s organic, textural with a subtle neutral palette that’s perfect for our Arizona desert. “Presence 2” lives in her new home at #jwmarriot in Tucson, Az. Thanks again Christy for your incredible eye and perfectly executed design.

A gallery wall isn’t a collection of art. It’s a composition of intention.

Every piece is selected to work as part of a larger visual system. Scale, spacing, color rhythm, and subject matter all play a role in how the wall reads as a whole. The goal isn’t to fill space, it’s to define it.

At The Art Makery, we curate with the environment in mind first. The architecture, the lighting, the flow of movement through the room. The artwork follows, not the other way around.

When done well, a gallery wall becomes more than the sum of its parts. Original fine art designed site specific for the @delphihotel in LA. Designer @ctcu @ellisadamsofficial always delivers with her keen eye and forward thinking design.
