Hi Beautiful Becoming Woman,

I am not starting over. Like you I am becoming.

This July I turn 60, and I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want this next chapter of my life to look like.

After 15+ years of photographing women stepping into their own reinventions… it turns out I’m stepping into mine.

At the end of July, I’ll be closing my studio space and shifting my photography back into the world — telling stories on location, creating art, writing, and making space for what comes next.

I’m also looking for something I haven’t prioritized enough: stability, independence, and a creative role where I can bring everything I’ve spent years building — storytelling, photography, marketing, and connection.

Welcome to The Art of Aging Loudly.

A place for reinvention, creativity, travel, art, food, women’s stories, and figuring out this next chapter out loud.

Because getting older isn’t disappearing.
It’s becoming and I hope you continue to ride along with me 🤍

My shirt says Viva Mujeres — Yay Women!

And honestly? I felt that today.

I’m always asking my clients to move, dance, sway, laugh, shake off the nerves, and stop worrying about looking perfect. So today, I took my own advice.

Because confidence doesn’t always arrive first.
Sometimes you move first… and confidence follows.

Viva Mujeres!
To the women reclaiming joy.
To the women learning to be seen.
To the women in midlife who are done shrinking.
To the women dancing before they feel ready.

Yay for the Women.
Especially the ones becoming themselves again. 💃

Happy Arbor Day, you Beautiful Green Witches 🌿

This was this week’s assignment inside Photo Club… and yes—
even professional photographers need help being on the other side of the camera.

It’s so easy for me to guide other women into feeling comfortable, confident, seen…
and then I turn the camera on myself and suddenly I forget everything I know.

So I joined Photo Club by Lisa Haukom @thegoldenbrandco to push myself.
To show up.
To create images of myself that feel honest—even when it’s uncomfortable.

And honestly? It’s been so good for me.
It’s a supportive, fun group—and if you’ve ever wanted to explore your creativity (or just exist in front of the camera a little more)… I highly recommend it.

I’m turning 60.
And I thought I’d have it all figured out by now.

I don’t.

But I do see this clearly—

I’ve been hiding.
Playing small.
Staying quiet when I had something to say.

And I’m done with that.

Last week, I was invited by Linda Solotaire @truemuseinc to share my work at her Chicago Women in Art Event.

And something shifted.

It wasn’t just an event.
It was a reminder.

That women don’t age out of creativity.
We grow into it.

This is why I do what I do.

Through my 50 Over 50 project…
Through my photography…
Through the work I’m creating…

I’m here to make sure women are seen.

Not later.
Not someday.

Now.

This is just the beginning.
