Time Heals All Wounds? brings together the work of the Raccoonica Collective and includes artists Emily Cross, Brenda Gallagher, Karly Mintz, Carrie Ortiz, Gail Rutigliano, and Jeanne Stella in an exhibition examining the impact of time across aspects of existence that touch us all and the scars and wounds it can leave in its wake.

At a moment marked by the accelerating impacts of climate change, setbacks in women’s rights, the escalation of fascistic forms of governance, and a persistent lack of adequate mental health support, particularly for minority communities, the promise of inevitable healing feels increasingly and mockingly ironic. We find ourselves in the disorienting position of being pushed both forward and backward in time simultaneously.

Through six distinct artistic practices, the exhibition addresses political, social, environmental, and deeply human concerns while revealing the ways these issues intersect. Rather than offering simple resolutions, the artists invite viewers to consider the complexities of our interconnectedness with one another and with the world we inhabit. taken in The Art School at Old Church by @theartschoolnj

The Art School at Old Church is thrilled to announce the 52nd Annual Old Church Pottery Show & Sale, featuring 27 extraordinary ceramic artists from across the country! 🛤🏺#theroadtodemarest

Each year, this acclaimed three-day celebration attracts more than 1,000 attendees, including collectors, enthusiasts, and fellow artists.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the exhibiting ceramicists, view thousands of contemporary pieces, and purchase unique handmade works!

“Amy’s work is subtle, restrained and quietly contemplative. Although influenced by Milton Avery and Mark Rothko, her focus is on portraiture. She portrays the essence of each person in the moment. This free public reception will showcase artwork created by Bergen County survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through Center for Hope & Safety’s therapeutic art program.

Led by Creative Arts Therapist Marta Levy, the program gives survivors an opportunity to express themselves creatively, build confidence and connect with others who have shared similar experiences. Each piece in the exhibition reflects a survivor’s individual experiences and journey toward healing.
