As both an avid reader of @stephenking & wannabe author (maybe one day) I have always been a bit scared to pick up this book. Well I started it yesterday and have less than 100 pages left. Safe to say, it’s already a 5/5!!!! So bloody good. #stephenking #onwriting by @theash.library

Reading East of Eden for the first time & excuse me, I am 200 pages in and absolutely loving it so far. The writing is tiny and there’s over 600 pages BUT I am obsessed. #eastofeden #johnsteinbeck taken in BOOKSTA by @theash.library

That’s my August wrap up! I had such an amazing month with FIVE 5⭐️ reads plus three 4-4.5 ⭐️. Also read first non-fiction for the year which was amazing. Bring on September, my hopefuls are East of Eden, 3rd DCC book, second red rising book and then the second book in the Farseer trilogy. #readingrecap #bookish #august taken in BOOKSTA by @theash.library

I miss the UK so so much. I keep finding myself wondering how hard it would be to uproot myself, my husband, our three kids and dog and move to the literal other side of the world. For now I’ll just keep looking at pictures and be jealous of my own holiday lol taken in London, United Kingdom by @theash.library

Sometimes when you read a book, it hits you like a punch to the gut. You feel emotions that books don’t usually make you feel (grief, anger, hurt, happiness, joy, wonder). This book is a perfect example of wonderful writing and real human experience (as real as astronauts going to a far away planet etc). Ollie was so flawed but weirdly misunderstood by everyone including himself. Not having the answers for his choices and not regretting them, but not being overall happy with them either is one of the most real things I’ve ever read. Thank you @cecilekvpin for writing another story I will never forget. 5/5 no notes. #celestiallights #cecilepin #newbooks #bookreview #bookish taken in BOOKSTA by @theash.library
