“With the knowledge from the training, I became more confident to expand my model.”

For Tran Thi Dung, who weaves sedge mats in Vietnam, growing her business once meant waiting over a month to get paid after each order.

Through Accelerate My Business, she learned to track her spending, price her products, and reach customers through Zalo and Facebook, giving her new tools and confidence to grow.

Her story is part of a bigger picture. With support from @visa and implementing partners, our Accelerate My Business program has supported more than 27,000 women entrepreneurs strengthen their business, financial, and digital skills.

📱 94% of training completers are using digital tools to manage business operations.
📈 95% are engaging customers more frequently through digital channels.

When women entrepreneurs have the skills and tools to grow, they can open new doors for their businesses and futures. And when partners work together to make those opportunities possible, we’re #SolvingTogether.

A land title can mean more than owning a piece of land. It can mean security, agency, opportunity—and a legacy to pass on. 🌱

For many Filipino women, land ownership has long been out of reach. In 2019, women accounted for only 28% of title recipients under agrarian reform programs.

Through policy reforms we supported, the Philippine government and civil society are addressing challenges to land ownership.

And today, we’re seeing what those reforms can mean in women’s lives: greater agency, opportunity, and a stronger stake in their futures.

For decades, we've worked alongside partners and communities across Asia and the Pacific. Together, we've seen how the region’s challenges are becoming increasingly complex and interconnected—and why solving them requires collective action.

Strategy 2030 is our roadmap across four impact areas:

✅ Advancing responsive and effective public policies and institutions
✅ Building inclusive, future-ready economies
✅ Equipping individuals and communities to shape their futures
✅ Strengthening regional and global cooperation

The changes we're striving to make are ambitious, but we believe that lasting progress happens when we solve challenges together.

What if there’s a way to make reading more accessible, interactive, and a more enjoyable, shared experience?

In Sri Lanka, the University of Sri Jayewardenepura is collaborating with public libraries across six provinces to make this possible. 🏫

Using storybooks from our Let's Read digital library, fourth-year interns will be leading read-aloud sessions with children in these public libraries. Together, they will explore stories about nature, family and friendship, critical thinking, adventure, and more.

The sessions have been coordinated with support from Dr. Madhubhashini Dissanayake Ratnayake, a senior lecturer at the university.

Collaborations like this show what’s possible when we’re #SolvingTogether: building supportive reading environments that make reading part of children's everyday lives.

Books open the door to reading. But supportive families, schools, and communities help children walk through it. 📚

Across Asia and the Pacific, Let’s Read is supporting families, teachers, and communities turn access to books into meaningful reading experiences—from parents reading with their children in Mongolia, to elders sharing oral histories in Nepal, and teachers using storybooks across subjects in Indonesia.

In Cambodia, access to age-appropriate, culturally relevant books is helping children build daily reading habits across 50,000 families.

This #LiteracyDay, let’s keep #SolvingTogether to make reading part of children’s everyday lives.

The books are for children. The impact belongs to everyone.

Did you know that environmental crimes, such as illegal logging, unlicensed mining, and wildlife trafficking, generate billions of dollars annually? 🌳

Transnational environmental crime ranks among the world’s most lucrative forms of organized crime, alongside drug trafficking, human trafficking, and counterfeiting. Yet an INTERPOL analysis found that environmental crime remains underrepresented in global enforcement.

Closing that gap starts long before a case reaches a prosecutor. Through the UK-supported (@ukinindonesia) SETAPAK program, we’re supporting Indonesian organizations doing that groundwork, from building evidence to filing complaints.

Last week, the Indonesia @oceanjusticeinitiative led a workshop in Jakarta alongside the Ministry of Environment, the Attorney General's Office, and INTERPOL to strengthen coordination and Indonesia’s response to environmental and natural resource crimes.

Faster title acquisition

Before: Public land title acquisition could take up to a decade.

After: The reforms mandated a 120-day titling process.

Security of tenure

Land titles provided farming families with tenure security and peace of mind.

Improved agency for women

For a woman titleholder from CARAGA, having a land title under her name provides a “sense of security and personal satisfaction.”

Financial stability

For 62-year-old Jacinta, a mother from Batangas, the land title is a way to secure her children’s financial future and augment her own retirement fund.

Bananas grow everywhere in Malasari Village, West Java. The women of KUPS (Social Forestry Business Group) Pakebucu, decided the crop could be something more. 🍌

To bring their idea to life, they started pooling funds and shared household equipment. 🤝

The women who run the business decide production, pricing, and earnings. Their chips, made from local banana varieties grown around the village, have moved from village shops to the PESONA social forestry festival and the PARARA Mini Festival, organized by FKKM (@fkkm.id) with our UK-supported (@UKindonesia) SETAPAK 4 program.

Local economies and forests grow together when women help decide how both are managed.

In Savannakhet, Laos, 21 village mediators gathered at the Village Mediation Unit (VMU) Exchange Workshop to share and discuss good practices that help people overcome challenges and disputes.

Through a Horizontal Learning Program method, mediators learned from their peers’ experiences in identifying, adapting, and designing approaches that could improve their mediation practice.

One mediator shared, “Fairness and neutrality are the core ethics for our mediators. These are reflected when we mediate disputes, so the conflicting parties are satisfied, can agree to face each other in mediation and resolve the problem voluntarily and with respect to the mediators. That is a successful mediation.”

Supported by @the_mcconnell_foundation, the workshop turned individual experiences into shared best practices, creating stronger pathways to peace and justice in communities.

"I walk away from this experience feeling more capable and more determined, and I intend to carry that into everything I do, on the factory floor and beyond."

For Rushia Khatun, a quality inspector at Iris Group, our Oporajita program is helping her build her confidence at work and beyond.

Across Bangladesh, women make up more than half of the ready-made garment workforce. Yet many continue to face barriers to skills development and economic opportunities, while unpaid care work adds another layer of challenge.

Our Oporajita program responds to this challenge by #SolvingTogether with partners, with support from @hmfoundation, to help ensure women garment workers can adapt, advance, and shape their own careers and futures.
