Come watch Jen Silverman’s absurdist dark comedy “Wink.” Directed by Audrey Hunter and produced by Sara Alanis.

Wink follows unhappy housewife Sofie and her breadwinning husband, Gregor, who both seek weekly counseling from an unorthodox therapist, Doctor Frans. Their current topic of disagreement: the cat, Wink. When Wink goes missing, violent desires, domestic anarchy, and feline vengeance emerge, threatening the neatly ordered reality Sophie, Gregor, and Doctor Frans have constructed.

Come Again is a one-act play about condoms and the end of the world.

Joel is hiding from the nuclear fallout in a bunker. His parents are trapped in the freezer.

Molly breaks in, threatens Joel with a shotgun, and tries to start a life with him.

Join us for the first-ever staging of this original play, written by Stanford alum Sean Cameron and presented by Stanford Theater Lab in collaboration with Nitery Experimental Theater. by @theater_lab

Audition to join the cast of Come Again, a Stanford Theater Lab Production (Autumn 2025)!

About the play:
Come Again is a one-act play about condoms and the end of the world.

The script’s main moral dilemma: how does love work when you only have one option? In the apocalypse, Molly and Joel, despite a multitude of incompatibilities, are intensely drawn to each other, out of desire and perhaps necessity. While we’re not currently in an apocalypse, the show points to the ways we compromise and feel stuck in our real-life relationships. Come Again asks the audience to reevaluate the complexities of their own relationships–platonic, romantic, and in-between.

This will be the first-ever staging and design of Come Again! We will have full creative freedom in terms of set, costume, lighting, sound design, and acting choices. Everyone gets to take a central role in this production.

Come Again is a one-act play about condoms and the end of the world.

Joel, an anxious hoarder, lives in the fallout shelter of an abandoned retirement home. Molly, a scrappy cellist, survives above ground until she finds Joel’s bunker. Dee and Arnold, Joel’s feisty grandparents, say goodbye to the world as they wait for the end.

Our back-end team is already bustling, but we are still seeking interested collaborators! Currently, we’re looking to fill these roles:

•Technical Director/Set Lead
•Co-Stage manager/Assistant Stage Manager
•Sound Designer/Sound Operator
•Prop Master
•Tech Crew

The design team will collaborate briefly online at the beginning of September to make sure our quarter runs smoothly; we want to make this process as generative, exciting, and simple as possible. We are currently trying to secure a performance for the weekend of Week 8 (November 14-16).
