On Friday not only was it pink and blue day where the performing arts academy came together to support @chloeandliam24t and their work but we had the wonderful @theatre.north in the academy. Thomas spoke honestly about the industry and his experience as well as opportunities that are available to theatre performers in the north! Theatre North are doing some amazing work and creating great opportunities, if you’re northern based be sure to follow them for fantastic opportunities. He followed this with watching a run of our@production of #jamie which is a show Thomas knows well. The biggest compliment @thomaswalton1 left us with is that he couldn’t believe the improvement in the students from last year! #musicaltheatre #north #theatrenorth #industryprofessionals by @theatre.north

✍️ #branddesign ✍️ NEW VENTURES ✍️.So excited to collaborate with fantastic company @theatre.north.Thankyou to Theatre North for entrusting me with creating an image to celebrate all the great work you continue to do..As a Northerner and freelance creative, this was extra special to work on because of Theatre North's tireless efforts to create opportunities for communities in the North of the UK through theatre projects..Stylistically I really took a bold leap sideways from my usual line work to make sure the images created evoked an accessible, striking and happy vibe that Theatre North evoke in their work. A fresh, youthful and cartoon like approach was what felt right. .Together with Theatre North, we discussed numerous ideas on the content the image should be and landed on iconic symbols of 'The North' together with most important of all..the people. What commonality 'The North' has at the end of the day is the shared sense of community so my final idea was to create a scene that aimed to include the diversity of the communities and counties with the broad spectrum of the all the many kinds of theatre. A scene showing a community performing 'NORTH' THE MUSICAL.;).This was such a new project for me. Adapting my hand to different styles is often like walking slowly into deep water and hoping u float but it's been very rewarding creating an image that will be used to celebrate a company I deeply respect and cant wait to see it out there included in Theatre North's ongoing projects..#brandartist #brandingart #theatrenorth #theatreineducation by @theatre.north
