![Almost 11 months ago, we at Canopy Theatre @theatrecanopy and @r_creative_works brought Dhuryodana Parvam to the stage, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. ❤️
It was my first major Telugu play. Imagine struggling with everyday Telugu and then having to learn ancient Telugu dialogues!
I got the opportunity to work with a director I had always wanted to be directed by, Mr. Eugien Jos Chirammel @eugien_jos and learn under one of the coolest trainers, Ms. Soujanya Varma @shoojilu , who could probably monoact every single character in the play herself, with effortless conviction, and still make you wonder why we even needed the rest of the cast xD
And then came the privilege of playing Karna, one of the most iconic, complex, and loved characters in the Mahabharata.
But what made this play truly special wasn’t just the character or the performance. It was the process. The friendships I made, the people who patiently helped me with Telugu, and the experience of understanding what it really takes for a team to bring a play to life. It was a beautiful journey of learning, growing, and creating something together.
And seeing my family break into tears after watching me perform? That’s a memory I’ll always carry with me. 🥹
Now, we’re bringing Dhuryodana Parvam back, bigger than ever, with a new set of actors and this time, I get to step into the shoes of Shakuni.
The excitement is different, but so is the pressure, simply because of how much this play means to me.
From Karna to Shakuni, a new character, a new challenge, and another chance to fall in love with the process all over again.
Hope I make it count.
Come witness us doing something we love and come watch me experience this play all over again, but through a different character this time. 🎭
October 25th, 2026 Evening 7pm at Ranghbhoomi Spaces, Hyderabad.
