POV you didn’t want boring wedding photos 😘

such a fun and beautiful wedding with @thebaileyvan & @thetrevorvan at @innbuffalo last weekend 🤍

Thursday night I was invited to spend the night in the mansion with the wedding party after the rehearsal dinner, and then document their wedding the next day.

I’ve never felt so much love surrounding a couple, hearts so dedicated to each other, or artistic vision brought to life more than this day.

I was RUNNING with ideas, finding inspiration and knowing they were down for anything creative.

Some couples go out to dinner on their anniversary, but we got to worship Jesus and teach His littlest followers at the same festival we started dating at 6 years ago.

And here’s the thing, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

Half a decade later and we’re back where it all started 🫶🏻

For a long time, I thought my testimony was cliche, but recently a good friend of ours taught me that no testimony is silly or unimportant. We love you @hunterjjohnson!

On Tuesday, July 9th, 2019, I recommitted my life to Christ after a long year of fighting a strong pull I was feeling on my heart and in my relationships. Less than 4 days later, I met Trevor and we started dating exactly three weeks after that fateful Tuesday night. The Lord used a place of deficit in my life as a place of deposit and He can do that for you, too.

Trevor and I met when I was a baby Christian and the last five years of my life have been filled with more joy than I ever could have imagined was possible. If you know Trevor, you know he exemplifies Christ in his leadership and servant’s heart and it has truly been an honor to grow and learn about Jesus by his side.

Trevor, thank you for loving me and showing me God’s love when I didn’t understand what love was supposed to look like. I wouldn’t have the relationship I have with Jesus if it weren’t for you. You are my best friend and I’m beyond grateful that the Lord picked you to bring me back to Him. I cannot wait to see what He has in store for us next.

Things we learned: There’s nothing like worshiping with 55,000 young people, the Holy Spirit is on the move in our generation, and when you call on Heaven, GOD SHOWS UP

Made new 🩵

Me, my beautiful girl Jenna, and almost FIFTY others were baptized a couple of weekends ago. Life Church Buffalo is a big part of the amazing movement of God happening in our city and I am so grateful to be a part of it.

A love like this is worth the wait.

As we enter our final year of long distance, I pray that God uses the time that I’m in grad school to strengthen our relationship, grow us closer to the Father, and open our eyes to the endless possibilities He has for our future together.

Doing life and following Jesus with you is my greatest adventure.

Did we wear our tuning forks to Graduation, you ask?

Of course we did. We wouldn’t have thought about walking across the stage without them.

You see, our tuning forks represent our family, and I don’t just mean our Chorale family. The Department of Music and Performing Arts was our home for four years; we took pride in being “the music majors.”

It’s odd to think that we won’t be returning to the familiar practice rooms of Cox Hall or the performance spaces of the CLC, but we’re off to walk in the incredible and unique plans that God has for each and every single one of us. Roberts has equipped us as musicians, but most importantly, Roberts has empowered us as Believers to be His light in our fields of study.

Thank you to my Boss Babes for being my sisters in Christ, @thetrevorvan and my family for loving and supporting me every step of the way, and the faculty and Class of 2022 for being my forever second family.

I love y’all bunches ♥️🎓

& wouldn’t it be like You
to be different than we thought
different than we want
but better

With every new season comes reflection and four years ago, I would never have expected my life to look the way it does. My pastor likes to say “God will often allow in His wisdom what He could easily prevent by His power because He’s more concerned with your character than He is with your comfort.”

I am worn but equipped with scars that all point to the goodness of God and His calling on my life. I honestly could not tell you what my future holds, but because of Jesus, I know it is bright.

Until then, I choose to continue to look to Him for the better; not my will, but Thy will be done.
