Today we visited a government run hospital, about an hours drive from Dubbo. This facility is still incredibly basic compared to what we are used to back home, but it offers the wider community many services that Dubbo does not offer; including minor surgery, leprosy management and maternity care.

As the sun sets over Dubbo’s this evening the medical team are one step closer to achieving their goal of offering similar facilities to their immediate community.

I was sitting under a tree at Dubbo and this creature landed on my hand. African insects are very pretty, but I’d rather they’d keep themselves to themselves..
