It’s been a long week. Felix has been dealing with a tough bout of bronchitis since last Friday, and Nicky also got hit with something that took him out Monday–Wednesday before he coming home early on Friday.

We were supposed to go to the boys first Red Sox game Saturday night, but the game was canceled and moved to Tampa. Unfortunately, the boys learned the really hard lesson of being disappointed by things that are completely out of your control. They understood that given how they were feeling they probably wouldn’t have gone to the game anyway, so in the end it worked out for the best. We talked about silver linings, and made up for it with Legos, Minecraft, and streamed Portland Hearts of Pine and preseason hockey.

Everyone's exhausted, but honestly I know the kids are only going to be this little for such a short time. So for now I’m happy to be their personal couch, climbing gym, video game partner, balloon artist and both of their soccer coaches 🤣 but for real this sickness needs to go away now for my sanity 🙃 by @thebakingbroad_

One minute I'm reminiscing over concert photos on my high school photobucket account and the next I'm finding pictures of the time I visited ground zero as a freshman in college. It's wild coming across these the day after anniversary, I just remember not being able to stop tears flowing while watching the work continue 4 years after the towers fell. by @thebakingbroad_

Crossed "Stanley Cup" off my bucket list thanks to Mike Brown of the @canes bringing it up to the @portland_seadogs game -- which happened to coincide with Hockey Night. The 4 of us watched their entire playoff run and seeing the Cup in person is a new core memory for our family. by @thebakingbroad_

Words can't describe how magical last night was at the sold out @ginblossomsaz, @spindoctorsband, and @bluestraveler concert at @bowlinthepines.

Thousands joined us on the shores of Messalonskee for three bands ive loved since I was a kid, it was the boys first big concert, and to top it all off -- 4 of our @newenglandmusiccamp campers joined Blues Traveler and Robin Wilson for a cover of Tom Petty's "Breakdown" to close out the night. This was a pivotal moment for Snow Pond Center for the Arts, and it was an emotional moment for so many folks to see campers having fun with music legends and beaming with pride at breakfast this morning wearing their tshirts given to them from the band.

If anyone is looking for something to do tomorrow, come see the staggering amount of talent from our campers showcased at the beautiful Bowl in the Pines.

Proceeds benefit the New England Music Camp scholarship and financial aid fund that makes music accessible to all, which is exactly what this world needs right now.

Nick and the boys will be up here for it and so should you! Rumor has it ill be making some remarks, so come witness the full awkward glory of yours truly on the largest and most historic stage Ive ever been on.

2025 was without a doubt the hardest year of my adult life, and the momentum seemed to carry right into 2026. There were times I felt utterly helpless and at the mercy for whatever was thrown my way -- it tested my resilience, confidence, self-worth, and my ability to trust that something better was still ahead and that I actually deserved it.

All of that to say, the last month has been a blur but I'm incredibly grateful and excited to share that I've joined Snow Pond Center for the Arts as Director of Advancement, a position created FOR ME to lead the strategic and financial growth of this remarkable organization.

For nearly a century, this non-profit has transformed the lives of young musicians through @newenglandmusiccamp, provided year-round Community Arts programming throughout Central Maine, and serves as the home of the historic @bowlinthepines. Set on the shores of Messalonskee Lake, the bowl is one of the largest open-shell outdoor stages in the country and welcomes audiences of 6,000.

After years of sneaking out of my parents house to go to shows, becoming a tech theater kid in college, and eventually building a career in Maine's arts and events world, it feels especially meaningful to join an organization built on the transformative power of music, creativity, and community. It feels like the culmination of many different pieces of my life coming together, and I can't wait to help more people discover this incredible place, support its mission, and become part of its story.

To everyone who checked in, showed up for our family, or simply believed in me when I had a hard time believing in myself -- thank you. Your kindness carried me farther than you'll ever know.

I'm excited, I'm grateful, and for the first time in a long time, I'm genuinely looking forward to what's next. Come and visit me on Messalonskee 💚🍀 by @thebakingbroad_

Yesterday was an extremely long day, but my hysterectomy was a success. We got to the hospital at 815, but I wasn't in the OR until 330, and didnt back to durham until 1030. My surgeon sent me home pictures of what my uterus looked like with the fibroid bulging out, so im very happy not to have that inside of me anymore. Operation yeet the meat is now complete!

Im in alot of pain, but thankfully, I know this is temporary and will be worth it in the end. Now bring on the movie/tvshow/podcast recommendations you've got! by @thebakingbroad_
