Hey! I’m the face behind The Balanced Bench 👋

My name is Brittany. I’m a dental lab tech from Ohio.
I created this page to bring mental health awareness for techs and we aren’t stopping that. On this page you will see the artistry, the function, and the real-life behind the bench.

🦷 Removables & denture work
⚖️ Tips on balance — in occlusion and in life
🛠️ Workflow, setups, and lab insight
🎙️ A little bit of my journey as I build something of my own

If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know picture #2 was the second quote I posted on this page and it still stands. If you’re new here, you’re probably into teeth, growth, or both so you’re in the right place.

Appreciate you being here with me 🩷🦷 taken in Cincinnati, OH by @thebalancedbench_

Lab Chicago 2026 🦷

each year that passes I feel more and more grateful to have fallen into a community of people who not only change strangers lives but the friends and fellow techs around them.

This year was my first year presenting (and first time IRL actually) I believe it went well and it’s only up from here. Thank you to everyone who came out. More teeth more techniques, and trusting the process. Stay tuned - we are blooming🌷

Cannot thank Asiga enough for allowing me to have a platform to speak and Anax for letting me use their demo materials for my live demo. Both strong and amazing companies and that’s why I love them so much🫶🏻🦷

So here’s to memories, to Chicago, to all the dental nerds out there- until next year 💕🥰

📦 B unboxing with PacDent! 🦷

One thing I appreciate about digital dentistry is that material selection isn’t one size fits all. Different resins are developed for different applications, and understanding their intended use, processing requirements, and finishing techniques is key to getting the most out of each material. I enjoy working with a variety of manufacturers because every product has its own place in my workflow.

The goal is to understand the materials, know what each one brings to the table, and choose the right product for the case at hand.

Because digital dentistry doesn’t stop at the printer. Material knowledge and what happens after the print matters too. 🖨️✨

Looking forward to putting these products to work and sharing more from the lab!

A little podium moment 🦷✨

So excited to have been part of this year’s ZAHN Roadshow, presenting for DETAX and covering Denture Flex Resin. It was such a fun opportunity to step outside of my everyday role, share what I’ve learned, and connect with so many people in the dental community. Feeling very grateful to have been a part of it! 🤍 & some little outside adventures.

If you’re currently using Denture Flex Resin, thinking about giving it a try, or just have questions about it, feel free to reach out! I’d love to chat. 🦷

From print → to finish -polishing (I’ll post that)😮‍💨🦷

A little behind-the-scenes of how I take a printed denture from the build plate to a finished piece.

🖨️ Remove the base + teeth from the printer
🦷 Bond the teeth into the base
🔧 Handpiece work to remove supports + clean up sharp spots
✨ Refine, smooth, and get it ready for the next step

Digital doesn’t mean zero hands-on work. The printer gets you there but the technician still makes the difference.
