The Eagles during their An Evening With the Eagles tour.
Hey guys, how's it goin'? I never post on here and somehow have 9,000+ followers... I'm unworthy. Anyway...
QUESTION!
What's your favorite song Timothy B. Schmit sings lead on? "I Can't Tell You Why," "Love Will Keep Us Alive," "I Don't Want to Hear Anymore" or "Do Something?" MY ANSWER: "I Can't Tell You Why." Its a smooth shot of sorrow, nothing but glorious.

Well, the concert happened just over a month ago (July 14th) and here I am posting about it now... #Whoops
Anyhoot, it was FANTASTIC! Deacon Frey looks / sounds so much like his father, and it is incredible.
If ya'll have seen one of the shows on the "An Evening With the Eagles" tour, let me know what your favorite performance was!!! Mine was definitely the closer - "Desperado" - closely followed by "Life in the Fast Lane" - aka my two favs. =) #TheEagles #Eagles #DonHenley #DeaconFrey #VinceGill #JoeWalsh #TimothyBSchmit taken in KeyBank Center by @thebandeagles

The Eagles, during the On The Border era. From left to right: Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon. There's a good chance Randy Meisner is next to the cactus on the left, but I'm not 100% sure. ๐ŸŽผ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ

SPOT THE EAGLE(s)!!!

BEHIND THE SONG: "The Last Resort" - written by Don Henley and Glenn Frey. Album - Hotel California (track 9). Information / quotes taken from "Conversations with Don Henley and Glenn Frey" by Cameron Crowe (August, 2003).
(Glen) "'The Last Resort' was the final piece of the Hotel California puzzle. We (Henley and Frey) started the song early in the record, and Don finished it seven months later... I helped describe what the song was going to be about and assisted with the arrangement, but it was Don's lyric and basic chord progression. One of the primary themes of the song was that we kept creating what we've been running away from - violence, chaos, destruction. We migrated to the East Coast, killed a bunch of Indians, and just completely screwed the place up. Then we just kept moving west... There were some very personal references in the song, including a girl from Providence, Rhode Island, who Don had dated for some time. She had taken an inheritance from her grandfather and moved to Aspen, Colorodo, in search of a new life... Whether we're carrying the cross or carrying the gasoline can, we seem to have a penchant for wrecking beautiful places. (Don) The final burst on this one happened in Benedict Canyon at a house I was living in with Irving [Azoff, the band's longtime manager and friend]. I was thinking of all the literary themes based on nature I had studied back in school (for his ENGLISH major) - the awesome beauty and spirituality inherent in the natural world and the unrelenting destruction of it, wrought by this thing that we call civilization or progress. Some years earlier we had done a couple of benefit concerts with Neil Young for the Chumash Tribe, Native American people who are indigenous to California. We became friends with an elder in the tribe named Samu... Samu was on a mission to raise funds for an educational program which would teach the young people in the truce about their language and their culture... the white man's culture was stripping his people of their identity..." Question: have you been / are you planning on going to an Eagles concert during their current tour? If so, when and where?
Answer: I will be seeing them the 14th of July this summer in Buffalo. I've seen them once before, on the 18th of July in 2015 during the History of the Eagles tour (exactly 6 months before Glenn Frey passed away). The magnitude of talent in which the Eagles pocess and the way in which their songs touch people can only fully be absorbed during a live performance. Anyone who has seen them live can easily understand why the Eagles have achieved success that is seemingly immortal.
Feel free to share any memories of Eagles concerts below! =)

Don Henley on the back of Shiloh's (Henley's pre-Eagles band) debut album. YOU CAN HEAR THE ALBUM BY WATCHING MY INSTAGRAM LIVE. HURRY - IT'LL DISAPPEAR AFTER 24 HOURS!!! To everyone who did join in on the broadcast, thank you so much! Even though there were a few hiccups, overall I think it was a success! I had a lot of fun putting it together, and your comments / emoji's were so sweet! Maybe I'll do another one that features Eagles songs by request...?? ๐Ÿ˜‰
