POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🎉 it’s out ! we create these characters out of ourselves. we worship status and especially the giving it all up. we kick and scream for attention. we create actual ghosts out of lovers who’ve left. we’re heroes to some and fools to others. we vomit glitter to convince ourselves that our insides aren’t a bit rotten. last year we were so many people. this year I’m sure there are many more to inhabit. someday maybe we’ll be able to just be. be okay. be in our skin. be seen for what came first. but for right now it’s awfully fun and awfully hard to chase around these lights and shadows.

this has toooooooo much of our heart and soul in it. 2 1/2 years, 3 studios. recorded in abandoned offices, fancy places, basements, living rooms, kitchens, floors, beds. mixed and mastered across the country. :)

THANKS!:
to my brothers - @greggy_rea @arisjames_ @caleb.on.keys . you guys are everything. we actually love, support, and respect each other. we don’t demean each other. music is cool but that’s the dopest dope I ever smoked.

my man Isaiah @ohcanalmeariver for the incredible mixing and the late nights running around Brooklyn discussing mostly everything. 🐛

love you @tommyeconomy for the inspiration and guidance. 👨‍❤️‍👨

@all_the_graces for being an emerald source of rock n roll spirit and a musing spirit animal. 🐺

@rachbot6000 🎷 for your game changing sax work but mostly for being a sister to us and helping me through bubbas death.

@chanceyland 💚 this has so much to do with you. your fingerprints are on us always .

my mom @misty_rea for being the reason. dad for always being there.

cover shots 📸 by the greatest @andandwhy you fucking killed it.

okay if you’ve read all of this wowwww. let’s hang out and listen now. LOVE YOU AND PLEASE BE ANYTHING YOU FUCKING WANT TO BE BUT KNOW THAT THAT IN IT OF ITSELF IS PROBABLY AN INVISIBLE GAME ❤️‍🔥 🤷‍♀️ by @thebandranger

@thebandranger performing at @hollandreno

July 30, 2026

First time getting to check out Ranger and was blown away. I knew these guys were good from my countless hours spent listening to their album this year but was completely floored by their performance. The vocal harmonization, the layers of sound, the added depth from the saxophone and synths, everything about the set was top notch. I'll definitely be checking out their set at Off-Fest in a few months.

we accidentally made a pop song back in 2022.

like…an actual pop song lol

we’ve spent the last three years pretending that wasn’t the case, but eventually you have to stop gaslighting yourself.

it’s called proper lover.

to be fair, the version you’re hearing wasn’t actually finished until about a month ago. we tracked most of the music back in 2022, but something about the song just needed time. i think we needed time.

looking back, i think i spent a long time writing about things i wasn’t quite ready to understand yet.

it’s strange hearing it now because it feels less like an old song and more like a message that showed up a little too early.

our Nashville bud Matt Chancey absolutely cooked on this one. that chorus bassline and guitar work are all him 😮‍💨

it’s basically a crying-on-the-dance-floor song.

we honestly don’t know if we’ll ever play it live in this form.

but it felt like the right summer to finally let it exist.

hope you have fun with it. hope it hurts a little, too. 💙
