In 1996, my husband and I bought 80 acres of farmland filled with pheasants and cornfields. We planted walnut trees, built a home, and filled our backyard garden with laughter and memories from countless celebrations, a place that quickly became the heart of our family story.

As our children grew up, we dreamed of creating a place where those gatherings could continue and grow and so, The Barn was born. As an interior designer, I designed The Barn to feel as though it’s been here for generations: timeless and welcoming, with thoughtful, elevated details that invite people to slow down, feel safe, and truly connect the moment they walk through the doors. My greatest joy is creating spaces where genuine connections happen and memories are made and I’m endlessly passionate about design, hospitality, and all the little details that make a celebration unforgettable. And let’s not forget the candles!

We always love rolling out to weddings at @thebarnatpheasanttrailranch in Chico, Ca.

The days there seem to unfold with so much ease.

The grounds are beautifully maintained and thoughtfully laid out, and Liane and her team are organized and attentive to every detail.

For this wedding, Fern, our photo booth bus was tucked onto the back patio of the barn, becoming one of the first stops after the ceremony and entertaining guests during cocktail hour.

We want to give a shout out to the vendor team that helped bring @allisonanngriffin ‘s vision to life.
