Yala Safari day. We saw elephants, water buffalo, golden jackel, deer, mongoose, crocodiles, lots of amazing birds, water monitors, fruit bats and more. Beautiful first day in Sri Lanka shaking off the jet lag. Some time at our beautiful hotel, a Buddhist temple, boat tour amongst the mangroves, monkeys and delicious food. Thankful for this opportunity to travel and learn more about our amazing world. by @thebaxter5

I am beyond grateful for my family and to have them near. It was our first Thanksgiving without my dad and he was missed. It does make you hold on a little tighter to those you are with after you have lost someone. I enjoyed every minute of our time together and am counting my blessings twice! by @thebaxter5

Happy 80th birthday to my amazing mom Barbara Harper. We love celebrating her. She is kind, funny, dependable and hardworking. She has a deep love of nature and books and has an open mind to listen to all viewpoints. She loves her family without judgement and is empathic when she sees others struggling. The last several years she was an amazing caretaker to my dad Walter Harper and he was missed today. After spending the last 60 years with him I’m sure it was difficult to celebrate without him. Love these two and celebrating their 60 years together! They both agreed that their favorite place they lived over the years was San Diego but Boise was also high on the list (where I mostly grew up) and they loved traveling to the Oregon Coast and Santa Fe during their RVing years. Lots of great memories. by @thebaxter5
