Bearing the responsibility… so you don’t have to. 😎⚙️ #thebearingguy by @thebearingguy

Ever wonder what’s inside a bearing and what separates a quality product from a poor one?

In this video, I break down a bearing sample, explain what I look for during inspection, and share a few key details that matter when sourcing industrial bearings.

At DLT USA, this is the type of product evaluation and quality review we perform every day.

What would you like me to tear down and inspect next?

From a rough forged ring to a precision-finished bearing component — this is the full grinding and finishing process, filmed on the ground in China.

Soft turning, heat treatment, rough grinding, double-disc face grinding, oil hole drilling, finish grinding, superfinishing, and final washing. Every step. Every machine. Every detail. This is the same process used by NSK, SKF, FAG, and NTN — and this is how DLT USA knows exactly what we’re sourcing and why it performs.

If you’ve ever wondered what actually happens between the forge and the finished bearing, this is it. 🇨🇳

Throw back to January 10th, 2016 - The Great Wall was supposed to be a historic moment. Dad just wanted to know where lunch was after. 🇨🇳 #ᴛʙᴛ

Chinese bearing factories are running AGVs and robotic arms at scale — and the quality implications are significant. Every time a human handles a bearing ring there’s a chance of a nick, a scratch, a dropped part. Remove the human from the handling loop and you remove that entire category of defect. This is what NSK, SKF, FAG and NTN have been running in Japan and Europe for years. China is doing it now.

The usual business meetings in China

#Trump #China #Elon #ai #tech by @thebearingguy

Trump. Xi. The world’s most powerful CEOs. And bearings.

Most people watched this moment and saw geopolitics. I saw the physical infrastructure behind every company in that room. Wind turbines, EV drivetrains, robotics, semiconductor equipment — none of it exists without precision mechanical components.

The new industrial order is being built right now. And the foundation runs deeper than AI and semiconductors.

It runs on bearings.

Ever wonder how a bearing ring is actually made? 🔩

This is real factory footage I filmed on the ground in China — a facility in an industrial province turning raw GCr15 chromium steel bars into finished forged bearing rings, step by step.

From the raw material yard → cutting → induction heating → open-die forging → ring rolling mill. The craftsmanship and precision behind every single ring is something most people never get to see.

This is what’s behind every order at DLT USA.

Third-generation. Thousands of factories. One promise — we show up.

At DLT USA, we don’t just source industrial components — we source them through relationships built over decades, on factory floors across China. Bearings, power transmission parts, castings — backed by hands-on oversight and people who genuinely care about getting it right.

If you’re a distributor, wholesaler, or manufacturer looking for a sourcing partner you can actually trust, let’s connect. 👇
