⭐ The best recommendations rarely come from TripAdvisor: Some of the places, people and experiences worth knowing come through word of mouth, local knowledge and simply knowing where to look. don't hesitate to ask someone who actually lives here.

⭐ Don't try to recreate the life you left behind: Moving abroad is an opportunity to create a new version of your everyday life, one that takes the best of where you came from and combines it with what Tangier has to offer.

⭐ Tangier rewards curiosity: You can't experience the city properly by staying inside the expat bubble. Learn the city, learn some Darija, shop locally, explore beyond your neighbourhood and let Tangier surprise you.

⭐ Tangier is incredibly well positioned: Spain, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic and the north of Morocco are all part of your backyard.

⭐ Moving to Tangier is easier when you stop trying to do it alone: Finding your people matters as much as finding your apartment. Community is part of settling in.

And this is exactly why we created The Beldi Edit: A curated guide and community for foreigners building a life in Tangier. We help you navigate the practicalities, discover the good stuff, find your people, and make the city feel like home.

Moving here? Start with us.

Moving to a new city is one thing. Making it feel like home is another.

And that’s where we come in.

The Beldi Edit is a new kind of guide to Tangier, created for the people who are not just visiting, but staying.
For the families choosing a school.
For the newcomers wondering where to find the good bread.
For the newly arrived who want to meet people.
For the ones looking for a doctor, a swimming class, a favourite café or simply somewhere that feels like their place.

We’re here to make the practical easier, the discovering more exciting, and the process of finding your people a little less overwhelming.

But this isn’t just a directory.

It’s our edit of how to live well in Tangier — the places worth knowing, the people worth meeting, the things worth doing, and all the little details that help a foreigner move from living in Tangier to actually feeling at home here.

Think of us as your insider friend in the city.
A guide for settling in.
A guide for discovering.
A guide for connecting.
And, eventually, a guide to making Tangier your own.

Welcome to The Beldi Edit.

A few moments of much needed sun after all this unstoppable rain. We can’t wait for warmer days, couscous Fridays in our favorite terraces, and all the never ending wandering around the Medina.

Will you visit Tangier this spring? 🤍

From our windows, you can see the wonderful Marabout Boukodja which even inspired Matisse to paint one of his paintings 🤍.

Would you stay here?
