I am truly blessed to have played this sport.

I have about 100 drafts of this post and not one can show just how much of an impact this sport has had on me. Through the 100’s of hours of practices, games, team bondings and traveling, club really does it all.
One of the most difficult things club has taught me is that you don’t know what you have until it’s gone, and now that i’m done with club this lesson has kicked in quick. Even if i complained during most practices, games, and volleyball related things, I can’t describe how much the sport has given to me.

Thank you 13 paramount for giving me community, teaching me my fundamentals, and coach jonathan especially for believing in me when I was just starting. I especially thank 13 paramount for giving me friendships I still have a cherish and will continue to cherish. Thank you 14 maroon for teaching me that people shape the people around them, and bonding in tough times has great outcomes even if they aren’t appreciated by a whole club, and thank you for letting me play on the court with abby for an extra year. Thank you 15 onyx for teaching me resilience, fighting my mental battles that season almost against my teammates taught me so much more than school ever could, and thank you Coach Amy for helping me through 15s while also believing in me and building my confidence. Thank you 16 onyx for bringing me some of my best friends, letting me play a second year with Soraya, and giving me Coach Amy another year, a coach who continuously believed in me no matter how low my confidence got.

I am truly honored to have gotten to wear #24 to honor my late grandfather for my last two years of club volleyball. Having that number made me feel as if my grandfather was there with me in all my games, even though he never got to watch me play a single point in my career.

Thank you to my parents for the sacrifices they made to get me on the court anytime that they could. They made sure to get me to countless privates, tournaments, camps, and games.

Club volleyball has taught me more lessons than any teacher ever could, and given me more friendships, connections, and new people than I ever could have imagined.
