Then at 9pm, Jax and Rodders take you on an eclectic vinyl journey, fusing four decades of record collecting into a constantly evolving sound. Expect a dynamic ride through house, funk, hip-hop, drum & bass, and surprising leftfield gems. by @thebellinnbath

This week at 8pm, The Playgroup Open Mic brings the music right onto the stage in The Bell main bar, and we want to see what you've got.

Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a bedroom guitarist ready to play your first chords in public, or just fancy sharing a song, a poem, or a tune, the stage is yours.

Just turn up, plug in, and play. If you're not performing, come grab a pint, find a spot by the stage, and support some incredible live music. by @thebellinnbath

Tonight at 9, we welcome back The Sun Kings!

One band does not make a genre, but Welsh Cumbia was an experiment worth trying: catchy songs and dances with a concealed narrative worthy of a South American film noir.

This week's live music starts tonight at 9 with Brooks Williams & Aaron Catlow.

Acoustic blues-inclined American guitarist, moved to Cambridge, Cambridgeshire rather than Mass., teamed up here with Aaron from Sheelanagig on fiddle, who plays folk, swing, and anything else 4 strings lead him to. Original songs & instrumentals. by @thebellinnbath

Bath Folk Festival is a collaboration between Bath venues and musicians, supported by a grant from The Bell, featuring visiting artists from traditional backgrounds and local projects based wholly or substantially on traditional foundations.

An example of both is Bristol folk/jazz melody weavers Carmina, performing today in an expanded line-up including regular collaborator, renowned uilleann piper Diarmaid Moynihan.

Unfortunately, airline timetables, budgets, and Diarmaid’s teaching job mean he can’t stay for the whole gig so we're aiming to start early to get the absolute most out of him.

Try to get in before 1pm!

Bath Folk Festival takes over The Bell today!

At 3pm, Lydia ‘n’ Mick are on the decks, sharing the joy of British folk music in the gloriously British setting of The Bell Inn, Walcot. Expect fine tunes, good company, and maybe even a few spontaneous jigs and reels!

And then at 9pm, we have live music from Headmix Collective. ’90s pioneers of Brit Folk. instruments – played with skills well beyond their peers on the festival circuit – over an unstoppable beat built on the dub style of the day. Still music to build a revolution to.

It's Friday and we're open from 1pm.

At 5pm, Mick RPM is stepping up to the decks with Vibe Friday! Time to skank with rocksteady ska, lovers rock, classic singles, and a few rockabilly renegades thrown in for good measure.

Then from 9pm, DJ Juzzy takes over the booth, unleashing a heavyweight mix of P-funk, reggae, house, disco, and just the right amount of glorious chaos.

The Wave Machine.

Multi-instrumentalist Angus Trott's solo project. His music is a blend of live looping guitar, bass, trumpet and percussion, inspired by the ways of the ocean. The unique combination of sounds is infused with good vibes, providing a chilled out and uplifting atmosphere for listeners.

Tonight at 7pm in the back room.

Tickets £10.

YOU MADE SOME NOISE!

You made your voices heard loud and clear! The public comment window for the planning application at 105–107 Walcot Street is officially closed, and the final total is incredible: approximately 1,330 formal objections were submitted!

A massive thank you to everyone who took the time to write in, spread the word, and back The Bell. Seeing well over a thousand of us stand together shows just how much this pub and community mean to Bath.

Once a committee decision date is set, we will update you. For now, keep an eye on our website for news, keep spreading the word, and pat yourselves on the back for a massive collective effort! by @thebellinnbath
