Some years ago @ando3000 asked if I’d do a video with @interestingiseverywhere where I would smash drums in front of one of few in the world high speed cameras. No big deal.

Needless to say because you’re here now watching it but I’ll say it anyways (with my fingers typing)- I did it. I had just finished a tour with @throwdownmusic and about to start up with @madballnyc … what am I even writing here… this is my life so far?! So Wild.

I was playing for @paistecymbals @yamahadrumsofficial @vicfirth sticks and sponsored by Paul Frank which is why the drums are covered in Julius the monkey. Listen, I could keep telling you how cool this all was or you can just watch it for yourselves.

Years later it still crushes, the whole team was amazing and I am so grateful for all of it. This life, life that I I get to still be living and… here we are, the story continues.

Ben: Alex… of course (digs through bins). Here’s a Doctor Doom joint cause I know you and doom (RIP) have a thing. Also got a couple sick blanks and … check this one out- this crazy 90s misspell of the Chicago mayor- John Daley’s campaign to try and eliminate the rat problem in the city.

Alex: ok awesome, let me try them back at home- cool?

Ben: so cool!

A couple months go by…

Alex: yo Ben!

Ben: yo Alex!

Alex: I brought the Chicago tee back to you, just a little too small for me (the dude is built like a country boy) but the rest I’ll keep. Cool?

Ben: of course man! (Knowing that shirt will sell on EBay for coin).
