Still smiling after a birthday weekend full of little joys ✨

• @hartwellhouse – being in the countryside with sunshine felt like stepping straight into a storybook. Every corner of the house and gardens were magical.

• Brunch at @laveraamersham – celebrating with my twin and family. Their Mediterranean menu has a great variety and the team made everything feel special. Definitely recommend!

• The most meaningful gift – a tiny handmade felt version of my late dog, lovingly created by Natalie at @teenie_craft_collective from a photo my Mum took to her. A memory I’ll cherish forever 🥹

• Afternoon tea in the @hartwellhouse library – such a lovely, relaxed experience. Loved that they offer gluten-free options and a unique blend of teas such as vanilla bean and chocolate brownie!

• My Uncle got me the new @marksandspencerfood gluten-free @official_colinthecaterpillar cake. It brought back many childhood memories and a birthday tradition of over 25 years! 🤍

This feels like discovering your own little hidden escape! 🧖🏻‍♀️🪵🌲ad/invite

From the sauna and hot tub to taking the plunge into the cold water, it was such a lovely experience and the perfect way to switch off.

It’s the little touches that made my experience extra special, from the open fire and hot herbal teas to the fresh flannels after the sauna, all topped off with such a lovely host Clemmie.

Whether you’re looking for a little wellness escape or time to yourself, relaxing and soaking up the beautiful countryside views, this is such a perfect place to slow down.

@slohaus_wildspa is a little slice of wellness hidden in the forest, right here in Bucks at @peterleymanorfarm. Definitely one to add to your wellness list!

@kokos_food_drink egg pans are definitely worth trying! we went for the mushroom & spinach with parmesan and it was SO tasty! 👏🏼🍳

And the location is lovely too, right next to the Memorial Gardens in Old Amersham, making it the perfect spot to pair brunch with a little stroll afterwards.

This little Italian independent restaurant has such a cosy feel and feels like you’ve stepped into a pizzeria in Italy 🇮🇹 pr/invite

The pizzas are authentic, beautifully made and packed with flavour by an award winning chef. You’ll find traditional toppings, as well as something a bit different from your usual pizza!

Yes, I had smoked salmon on my pizza 😂 and it worked SO well with the pesto and soft, creamy cheese. Absolutely delicious!

You can really taste the care and quality that goes into the dough…that perfect balance of light, airy and crispy, with so much flavour.

Oh, and save room for dessert because the tiramisu is incredible! 🤌 Homemade and so traditional, it tastes like a family recipe passed down through generations.

The perfect spot for a cosy pizza night as the evenings draw darker…and they even offer pizza parties if you’re looking for something a little different! 🍕🥂

Save this for your next pizza night, this one is definitely worth adding to your Bucks foodie list!

☕️ A little September highlight, from just outside Bucks…

On a recent trip back to where I grew up, I popped into The Coffee Edit by @gatherbygray ~ an independent coffee shop in Chorleywood that I actually discovered back in 2022, when they first launched their grazing boxes (see the last photo!). 🧀

It’s just over the Bucks border in Herts, but not far at all from Bucks and somewhere you may well pass on your travels, so I thought it was worth sharing!

It’s so lovely to see how much this independent business has grown. As well as great coffee, homemade bakes and food in the café, they also offer catering and grazing platters that are perfect for parties and gatherings.

There’s something particularly lovely about seeing a local independent business you discovered years ago continue to grow and evolve. So, slightly outside my usual Bucks remit, but definitely deserving of a September shoutout. 🤎

I’ve found a new baker to stock up on sweet treats and honestly…their cookies are incredible and it makes me so happy! 🍪🤎

The chocolate crunch loaf was SO good too! After first discovering @mimibakesgf at @coopers_markets, I knew I had to order more from her. And how incredible is it that you can get freshly baked cookies delivered straight to your door?!

I’ve tried a few of the flavours now and there’s such a great variety. The red velvet was definitely a favourite and the apple crumble is a perfect autumnal treat.

They’re also perfectly packaged and individually sealed, so they stay super fresh. They’re all gluten free, so even better…but you genuinely wouldn’t know!

It’s so great to have an independent baker in Herts & Bucks offering gluten free cookies, something I’ve really missed for such a long time since being gluten free.

Definitely one to try if you’re a cookie lover! ☺️👏🏼

A true hidden gem in Bucks! 🌸

Victoria at @greenfoxflowers has grown all of these beautiful seasonal flowers herself at @oxmoorfarm. It was so lovely hearing more about how she grows them, as well as getting her tips and insight into picking and styling our own bunches.

Walking around the flower beds, choosing my own blooms, meeting new people, having lovely chats along the way and enjoying a complimentary drink made it such a special evening.

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and of course, getting to come home with my very own bunch made it even more special.

I’d highly recommend booking an evening here if you’re looking for something peaceful, wholesome and a little bit different to do in Bucks! ☺️🐝

Wow, what an incredible gym on the farm! 🤩

RØAM brings together fitness, community and wellness in a way that feels refreshingly different. A space where movement and connection come together, surrounded by the beauty of the countryside.

Set in the rural surroundings of Peterley Manor Farm in the Chiltern Hills, RØAM is Bucks’ newest gym but it feels like so much more than that.

There was something so special about listening to the sound of the rain on the barn, breathing in the fresh air and being surrounded by nature, all while experiencing such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Thank you to the RØAM team for inviting me down last night to experience the space. It was such a lovely new experience and I can’t wait to see what’s to come.
