When Wanye Brown was just a student in college, all he could think about was giving back to his community.

Born and raised in Baltimore, he saw and heard all the crime and violence that flooded the media cycle.

That's when he went to his childhood friend and his cousin with the idea of creating the Baltimore Homeless Project.

BHP Mobile Services is officially BACK ON THE ROAD! 🚐💜💛

Sunday, September 27th, we’re taking it back to the streets and meeting our people where they are. From West Baltimore ➡️ Downtown ➡️ East Baltimore, we’ll be moving throughout the city providing hot meals, hygiene kits, fall essentials, resources, and most importantly, love.

No spotlight. Just people helping people and doing what we’ve always done. 💜

Summer Bash 2026 💜💛 (8/30/26)

Still reflecting on a beautiful day of community, love, and REAL impact. We’re beyond grateful to have served over 100 people right here in Baltimore with hot meals, clothing, hygiene essentials, resources, haircuts, sweet treats and most importantly, love and dignity.

To every partner, volunteer, donor and supporter who continues to pour into the Baltimore Homeless Project, THANK YOU. None of this happens without community. Y’all continue to show us what Baltimore looks like when we come together for our people.

This is bigger than one event. We’re building relationships, restoring hope and showing up consistently.

We have over 5,000 diapers available, with sizes 2–7, AND thanks to @taharkabros we’ll also have FREE ICE CREAM! 🍦

The Baltimore Homeless Project is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to supporting our unhoused neighbors and fighting food insecurity across Baltimore. Through hot meals, hygiene essentials, haircuts, health and wellness resources, shelter connections, and direct street outreach, their mission is about more than providing necessities, it’s about treating people with dignity, building community, and helping create a path toward stability and independence. ❤️🐆

This truly means a LOT to the homeless community!

To everybody who donated, shared, reposted, told somebody about the fundraiser, or just kept rooting for Baltimore Homeless Project, THANK YOU. For real.

And @cllctivly , we gotta give y’all your flowers too. 💐 Y’all continue to create space for grassroots organizations in Baltimore to be seen, supported, and given a real shot to keep doing the work.

We’re a grassroots organization. We don’t have all the resources or a big machine behind us. It’s literally people believing in the work that keeps this thing moving.

So when we say we appreciate y’all, We really mean that.

We still got work to do. And we’re gonna keep doing it.

🔥 LUNCH ON US: SUMMER BASH 2026! 🔥

We’re bringing the community together for a day of food, resources, connection, and real support. 💜💛

With amazing community partners helping us provide everything from meals and clothing to haircuts, housing, healthcare, employment resources & more.

The support from our community has been OVERWHELMING! 💜💛 We’ve had 200+ people interested in volunteering, so to keep the event organized, safe, and impactful, we’re limiting volunteer spots to 12 people.

We’re also accepting new & gently used clothing and shoes to help support our neighbors in need. If you’d like to donate, reach out to us for drop-off information.

Baltimore, our unhoused neighbors need us.
That’s why the Baltimore Homeless Project has been showing up for our community since 2019.

This year, they’re bringing their BIGGEST Summer Bash yet.

📍Downtown Baltimore at the Shot Tower
🗓️August 30
🕕10AM-2 PM

They’re bringing together organizations, caterers, and community partners to provide:

🍽️Fresh hot meals from 3 caterers
🧼Hygiene kits
👕Clothing & shoes
💼Job resources
🏠Transitional housing resources
💊Drug prevention resources
🍰Sweets & treats
...and so much more.

But they can’t do this without Baltimore.

They’re running low on funds and trying to figure out how they’ll continue providing these essential resources to our community.

That’s why August 7th is so important.

For 24 hours, you can support the Baltimore Homeless Project through @cllctivly online fundraiser.

You can donate as little as $1, and $15 can make a real difference by helping provide meals, hygiene supplies, housing assistance, and other critical resources.

This isn’t just about one organization. It’s about showing up for our neighbors and supporting the many Baltimore organizations doing the work every day.

August 7th. 24 hours. Every dollar matters.

Men lie. Women lie. But these numbers? They don’t.

Over the last year, Baltimore Homeless Project has been putting in real work. Thousands of meals served. Hundreds of hygiene kits, shoes, and haircuts provided. People connected to jobs. Families connected to housing. This ain’t just something we post online. This is what we do when the cameras are off too.

Tomorrow is CLLCTIVGIVE, and we’re asking our community to stand with us. Every dollar helps us keep showing up for the people who need it most. If you’ve ever supported us, volunteered, shared a post, or believed in this mission, tomorrow is the day to help us keep it going.
