Big Oh Box is taking a pause.

This project has been a huge part of my life for a long time, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who subscribed, ordered a box, shared a post, or supported this weird little idea along the way.

For now, I’m stepping away from subscriptions and putting Big Oh Box on pause while I decide what I want the next version of this idea to look like.

There are still things I want to create in this space. They may look different. They may live under a different format. I’m giving myself the room to figure that out instead of forcing Big Oh Box to keep going just because it has existed for a long time.

So this isn’t necessarily goodbye.

It’s just the end of this version of Big Oh Box.

Happy New Year qu33rs of Roanoke! 🎉

We’re kicking off the new year with a special twist on our usual Open Myke at Ursula’s Cafe and calling it a Variety Show to emphasize that this event is not for covering songs (booo BMI) but going to have a new special twist!

We are bringing the much requested and trending Performative Masc Competition to Roanoke with the addition of an Evil Femme contest! We have ✨Special Guest Juges✨ to help determine winners who will be awarded prizes from @thebigohbox ! 💦🫦

There will also be an opportunity for all of the talented folks in our community to display the variety of their skills (Original Songs, Unlicensed/Public Domain, Poetry, and silly fun acts like juggling, dance, Comedy etc.) 🎤

We will be collecting Menstrual Supplies at this event to support Ursula’s Cafe in their mission to provide means to the needs of those in need in Roanoke. Please join us in contributing as you can or donating to the mission of Ursula’s Cafe!

This will be an alcohol free event, but best suited for 18+
