My friend, Donna. We danced alongside one another over 25 years ago. And to this day, we continue dancing through our lives on independent, parallel universes that finally intersected tonight! 💙 @donnalynchdance @knechtdance taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @thebillylarson

Incredibly PROUD to say that we have ourselves an AILEY girl!

Endless Congratulations to @tarabellardini 💫🍾

Her commitment to the legacy of Alvin Ailey and the Ailey Company, persistence through continued technical training and her remarkable integrity in character, she landed herself a coveted spot in the Main Company @alvinailey 💙

Send her some love and more importantly, be sure to check her out on their 2024–25 tour season, dedicated to the life and legacy of Artistic Director Emerita Judith Jamison (1943-2024). by @thebillylarson

Twenty strange, strange years…
and it still feels just as unfamiliar.

Love and miss you, my dear old friend.

You’ve gotta swim,
Swim for your life.
Swim for the music that saves you,
When you’re not so sure you’ll survive.
You’ve gotta swim.
And swim when it hurts.
The whole world is watching,
You haven’t come this far to fall off the earth
Currents will pull you,
Away from your love.
Just keep your head above…

I’ve been so many places,
in my life and time.
I’ve sung a lot of songs.
I’ve made some bad rhymes.
I’ve acted out my life in stages,
with ten thousand people watching.
But we’re alone now,
and I’m singing this song for you… taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @thebillylarson

Now I understand,
What you tried to say to me.
How you suffered for your sanity.
And how you tried to set them free.
They would not listen,
They did not know how.
Perhaps they’ll listen now… taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @thebillylarson
