Referencing the whimsy and surrealism of Alice in Wonderland, Eat Me plays with our inner worlds and constructed realities, moving between the real and imagined through themes of whimsy, consumption and creation. A little programming update from The Birdcage ๐Ÿ’— Weโ€™re extending Jiayue Liโ€™s show a little longer, and weโ€™re so happy to keep the work with us as we head into fall. Next up, weโ€™re very excited to be teaming up with @glass.rice again on 10/24 for a new show featuring @danaethepainter โœจ As The Birdcage grows, weโ€™re continuing to shape a programming schedule that feels intentional to our space, our little street, and the community around us. We want to be thoughtful about the artists we invite in, how their work lives in the space, and how we can represent and support them in a way that feels warm, collaborative, and true to what weโ€™re building here. Weโ€™re figuring it out as we grow, with a lot of love for the artists who trust us with their work and the people who keep showing up to see it. The turnout was incredible, and seeing the gallery filled with so many familiar and new faces reminded us why we do this.
