A juvenile black-crowned night heron. A rarity and my first in Brant County. Taken last Saturday at the Cavan Flats in Paris, Ontario. Loving the new camera ❤️📸 by @thebirdcreep

Possibly my favourite shots I’ve taken of a Tufted Titmouse at F.W.R. Dickson Wilderness Area this week 🐦🌿
A beautiful spring afternoon on the boardwalk, and this little guy wasn’t shy at all.

Another Stellar's Jay from Paradise Meadows. Such beautiful birds and one of my favourites from the trip to Vancouver Island.

A Spotted Towhee. A lifer for me on Vancouver Island. Saw many of these on our trip but this was the best photo I managed to capture of one. Similar to our eastern towhee but just a little more fancy lol

A very cool sparrow I saw on my trip to Vancouver Island a couple weeks ago. The Golden-crowned Sparrow. As a big fan of sparrows, I was thrilled when I saw these guys at the Courtenay Airpark Saltmarsh. This was a great spot within the city of Courtenay to do some birdwatching. Highly recommend.

More photos from Paradise Meadows. The Stellar's Jay is a cool bird that gives our blue jay some stiff competition. They made excellent subjects too. Still so much more to share from our trip on Vancouver Island.

Another photo from our trip to Vancouver Island. This is a Canada Jay at Paradise Meadows in Strathcona Provincial Park. As you can see this one was banded as were many of the ones we saw. Definitely not a shy bird. My wife had one even land on her hand but they eventually caught on to our trickery.

This is my first post since coming back from Vancouver Island. It was such an amazing experience. Our wedding was a dream come true surrounded by beautiful sights and sounds (of birds). This is a red-breasted sapsucker that I saw on our very last day and at the top of my target list. We saw him just as we were on our way back from paradise meadows. Still so many photos to edit and post for everyone to see. Vancouver Island we will be back one day.

Falling a little bit behind on my photos. Here is a field sparrow from August 3rd at Fletcher's Creek Conservation area. Cute little bird.

A least sandpiper at the tip of Point Pelee a couple weeks ago. I was camping at Wheatley for my bachelor party but had to make some time to birdwatch of course lol

Was driving down Valens Rd on my way back from Safari Rd marsh when I saw this osprey. I stopped to pull over and noticed it had something in its talons. Looks like a muskrat might be for dinner lol.
