Dolly All the Time 💕📚

Okay, I know what you’re thinking: Fake dating? Miscommunication? Haven’t we read this romance before?

Yes. 😂 We have.

But Annabel Monaghan somehow makes these familiar tropes feel fresh, funny, romantic—and completely irresistible. I flew through this one and absolutely fell for Dolly and Stewart.

Dolly is a hardworking single mom who has spent her life taking care of everyone else, and when a very unexpected fake-dating arrangement enters the picture…well, let’s just say things get complicated. In the best possible way.

It’s charming, witty, swoony and has that perfect summer-romance feeling—with enough heart underneath it to make you really care about these characters.

And now for the REALLY fun part…🎬

Dolly All the Time is officially headed to the big screen! Sony’s 3000 Pictures has acquired the movie rights, with Temple Hill producing. So now I need to know: WHO should play Dolly and Stewart?!

If you think you’ve read every romance trope there is, give this one a chance. This one is just that good. 💕

What happens when the “perfect” old-fashioned life you’ve been selling on Instagram…actually becomes your life? 😳

Caro Claire Burke’s Yesteryear takes one very polished tradwife influencer, throws her into the brutal reality of 1855, and asks: Is the past really as charming as we like to imagine?

Spoiler: no amount of homemade bread, chickens, or pretty prairie dresses can prepare you for this. 😂

This book is dark, clever, unsettling—and SO much fun to talk about. It had me questioning nostalgia, social media, motherhood, marriage, and just how much we romanticize “simpler times.”

And Natalie? Let’s just say…you may not love her, but you definitely won’t forget her. She's the ultimate influencer antihero!

Have you read Yesteryear yet? I want to know: would you survive one week in 1855? 😂📚 by @thebookbeatwithamy

Welcome to my book blog, The Book Beat with Amy, a play on words in reference to my one of my early jobs as a reporter on the police beat in Chicago, Illinois. My first chapter starts with clearing out and donating old books to make way for new reading!
