🥕 I just want to take a moment and share this exciting news! During the Renaissance and Book Faire, we did a little food drive in partnership with Feeding Southwest Virginia.

Yesterday I got to take the donation to their center here in Abingdon. Thanks to YOU we were able to donate 100 lbs which ends up serving 83 MEALS to our neighbors in need.

Things like this is why Megan and I started The Book Cellar. So we could not only carve out our own little community where we live, but also so that we could support it too.

Whether it's book donations, food, or free community events, we love this little literary community that we have ALL built together. 💜

🏰 Huzzah! What an event on Saturday. Kevin the mighty turtle was knighted, we saw flowing dances from @misfitgypsiesdancetroupe , heard the sounds of @bratfolk , experienced the daring aerial acts of @twirling.twins.entertainment and closed out the night with the bold flames of @inspiralfiretribe

We loved your costumes, we loved the turkey legs, the ale, and the fairy garden alike. We were absolutely blown away with everyone who showed up.

Thank you so much to our friends, our family, and our community who helped to make this event possible. Thank you @wolf.hills.coffee for a wonderful collaborative effort, we had a vision and we made it real!

🏰 We're just one week away from the Court Street Renaissance and Fantasy Book Fair!

We're closing down the street and bringing in themed vendors, buskers, food, local authors, and more! Along with our mini Renaissance Faire outside we will also be hosting our first Fantasy Themed Book Fair inside!

Costumes are highly encouraged!

This is event is FREE and open to the public!

🦋 From Aug. 28 to Sept. 5 we took 30% of our total sales to make a contribution to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

We're pleased to have been able to have donated $250 to the program and with it being directed towards the @washcolibrary. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by to help us make this donation.

Dolly was a huge impact on our lives and we can only hope to continue in her footsteps of sharing the love and importance of literacy with others. 💜 by @thebookcellarva
