PSA: Attention all BookNik attendees! One quick thing… The core of BookNik is the book swap component. That said, that component is only going to be as good as the books you bring!

So please, bring books that you care about, books that you’d want other people to read & books that have made an impact for you.

Leave your throw aways at home please.

What do you think about the books above?

Also, drop in the comments, a dope book you’ve picked up from BookNik or a dope book you plan to bring!

See you soon! ✨🙏🏾📚 taken in Booknik by @thebooknik

Bring your books. Bring your homies. Bring your good energy.

We always see people asking, “What is BookNik?” BookNik is MANY things.

A book swap, day party, vendor and author market, dance party, a bookish meet-up, a place to play games, connect, read, enjoy good food, drinks, and even better company.

With a goal of getting more people to read and bringing a fun environment to readers!

We are your neighborhood BOOK party! Tell us what city we should go to next?!

ATL, we will see y’all next week! 🔥🚀 by @thebooknik

🚨 ATLANTAAAAA, WE OUTSIDEEEEE 🍑📚🔥

BookNik is pulling up in the A and this one feels a lil different. 🥹

BookNik was inspired by the spirit of Freaknik—Black folks coming together, taking up space, building community, and creating CULTURE. So bringing BookNik to the original home of Freaknik?! Yeahhhh, this is a full-circle moment. 🍑✨

We’re paying homage to what inspired us while creating something of our own for the bookish community. 📚

And you already know what time it is 👀 Good reads, good dranksss, indie authors, dope vendors, food, music, a DJ AND the book swap is SWAPPINGGGG. 😮‍💨🔥

And PLEASE bring 1–5 GOOD books to swap 😂📚 The book swap is only as good as the books y’all bring—so bring something you’d actually be excited to find on the table! 👀

ATL… y’all ready?!

🗓️ September 19 | 1-6PM
📍 Westside Motor Lounge
🎟️ thebooknik.com — hit the link in bio.

Tag the homie you pulling up with! 📚🔥

BookNik made its way to Houston. 🌆📚

Our fourth gathering looked a little different—not because we changed what BookNik is, but because we took it somewhere new.

Houston was our first step outside of Dallas, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better city to take that step with.

From the people who traveled with us to the people who found us for the very first time, y’all brought a kind of energy that made the whole experience feel bigger than an event.

Houston, thank you for being our first.
