I told her I didn't want people to think I'm bragging, and she said, "Don't worry about that ~ everyone knows you're not a braggart. I just want them to remember that your book was a finalist in two categories of the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Be bold, Lua!" So here I am, being bold 🙀

My Big Book Giveaway is being extended! 🎉 We've had so much positive, heart-warming feedback about The Book of Lua that we're going to keep going. 🚙 📦 📬

This morning, we received a lovely note from a Grade 4/5 teacher who was given a copy of the book and would now like to bring it into her classroom. She wrote: "I had difficulty putting the book down once I started looking at it ... I love the feel and size" (it's 8" x 8", hard cover, glossy paper, with 90 colour images), and "I cannot wait to start reading your book to the grade 4/5 students in my class." So we're sending a box today, which will arrive this coming week. 📗😻🐾 Please keep getting the word out! 📧 📣 School is back, and we want to put books in kids' hands.

@susiebon7 is a dear friend to me (Lua) and my mum (Dania). Auntie Sue is helping greatly in getting out our message about the "Big Book Give-away" in celebration of my 6th birthday.!Here are highlights from Auntie Sue's latest message to us: 🐾 BC Children’s Hospital has requested a dozen books which will be made available through their Family Resource library, the therapy libraries and to children and families attending the Spinal Cord, Cerebral Palsy and Neuromuscular clinics. 🐾 SunnyHill Health Centre for Children has also requested a dozen to go to their Family Resource Centre and to the Social Work and Therapy departments for distribution to patients and their families. 🐾 An OT working in Vancouver schools has identified at least a dozen students with different abilities whom she thinks will enjoy receiving a copy of the book when school returns. Sue will also be in contact with the Vancouver School Board once we're a bit closer to school starting again in the autumn. 🌟 This is paw-some news!🌟 Please keep getting the word out to individuals, professionals, organizations, schools, clubs, healthcare centres, and anywhere else The Book of Lua may be welcome ~ for free!

A box of The Book of Lua reached the Lakes Animal Friendship Society on Friday! 🌈
One of their volunteers ~ who is also a published author of several books for children about animals ~ wrote to us: “This is such a tender and loving book about differences, about acceptance, about unconditional love and so much more. It made my heart burst with joy. Much for children to learn from this beautiful book. Much for adults to learn too. I’ll be bringing this to libraries and children, with glee and joy in my heart to share this generous and caring gift of pure love.” 🌻

We want the sharing to continue, so please let others know that we'd love to send more books to additional groups, schools, health centres, community centres, libraries... Outside Canada, too!
