Hi! 👋🏽 Welcome to my bookstagram! I’m Calla, or you can call me Callie! This is my first post so I thought I should share a little about myself:
I’m 37 and I live in the Midwest!
I love to read (duh! 😂🤣) and also travel!
I work at a bakery/cafe full time so this will be just for fun!
I was inspired by all my favorite bookstagramers to take a leap and start sharing the things that I love about the books that I read! I don’t know yet what that will look like so this should be fun! 😅😉
I’m sure I’ll share more as I go along but let me just say that if you’re reading this I’m glad you’re here! Thanks for joining me on this journey be it short or long lived! (I am a Gemini so it could really go either way!)

Another 5 million sparkly freakin’ stars!!! ⭐️ ✨🌟💫⭐️🌟✨💫⭐️💫🌟✨⭐️💫🌟💫✨🌟⭐️🌟✨🤩 This book was amazing!!! I’ve found a new favorite series! No sophomore slump here folks! Book 2 kept me just as engrossed, just as thrilled, if not more! More only because we got Cael and Xenia’s POVs as well and I am so in love with them ❤️☺️ And Cass and Tristan’s love is just *chefs kiss* ( Also adored the side characters: Hella, Reena, Borea and even the mysterious Ronin!) That cliffhanger was nuts tho! I did have a few inklings about some of the twists which for me just makes me happier because I love sussing those out and being right! Hehe 🙃 Now I just gotta keep it together til Book 2.5 and Book 3! Ah 😱Go read this series guys it’s so good!!! 👏🏽 by @thebookrebel

The Memory Puller by Kris K. Haines

So, I went into this book kind of blind, and OMG I absolutely adored it! This book is everything that I wanted in a fantasy romance and got me out of a reading slump!

I not only loved our main characters Cassandra and Tristan, but I also adored our side characters Cael and Xenia (and I’ve heard that they have their own POVs in the next book so I’m incredibly excited about that)! I really loved watching our MCs fall for each other (not once but twice, iykyk)!

The things that this book really checked off for me were: great friendships/found family, a bit of insta-attraction (yes I am a guilty party of enjoying this sometimes), but also then a forced slow burnnnnn and pining (for reasons), acts of valor, a mystery, women who can take care of themselves, magic, (old) fae males with pretty wings, and overall giddiness that had me kicking my feet and giggling aloud. This book just made me happy, guys! And the best thing about it was it didn’t have my least favorite trope: MISCOMMUNICATION! Yay!

Got some very exciting book mail!!! 🤩 I’ve been waiting for this gorgeous omnibus of the Stars and Shadows trilogy to arrive and it FINALLY did! ✨🌙 YAY!! And she’s beautiful 🥹 I also got all this cool swag! I can’t wait for my reread of this series- it’s gonna be so much fun!! 🤗 by @thebookrebel

Kingfisher) and I was lucky to have lots of 4 and 5 star reads! 🤗 How did February go for you?? Here goes the first (and possibly last 🤣) ever: Love (sometimes) Bites Readathon! Why am I doing this you may wonder??? Well…

As I was looking at my TBR for this month I noticed that I had added several vampire books to this month’s list, and a few came in from the library too! So, I thought why not throw those all together and do a mini readathon for myself over this next week and see how many of them I can get through and which ones I enjoy?! :)
