Blues Boy

Getting very excited to play @thekey_stl as part of the Blues Forward Show THIS SUNDAY from 3-6 PM. I’m gonna do a few tunes (sneak peak here) and am honored to be playing with some of the outstanding musicians who ignited my love of this St. Louis music. It is a fantastic event put on by fantastic people and will be full to the brim with great talent and sounds. And… it’s FREE. If you’ve never seen me play blues before or always wanted to check out a local blues show, this afternoon will be a great introduction. Good chance to check out The Key in advance of @free4allstl - a wonderful space!Don’t you dare miss it!! taken in The Key STL by @theboythationceknew

St. Louis!! We’ll be playing a special show TONIGHT at the Kerr Foundation for the one and only @algaedust release show. Want to see a guy who recently, reluctantly, fully got into the Grateful Dead (Dad?) with a rooting tooting line up of Adam, Dylan, AND Jim? Come party! Show is at 8 and we’ll start twistin’ the night away. Mavis the dog will be there dancing in our fingers. taken in William A Kerr Foundation LLC by @theboythationceknew

Was inspired to revisit the solo vlogs I made during my 2017 trip to see Brian Wilson in Indianapolis. A la @thechairenthusiasts tour vlogs. First time I’ve been able to pull these up without cringing to myself. RIP to the goat taken in Indianapolis, Indiana by @theboythationceknew

Playing with Sharon Bear and Gus Thornton in STL always shows me the true power and emotion of music. They’re always helping me. We can’t do it by ourselves. The groove is real. So grateful for their musical notes and guidance 🎶

Jim, Felix, Adam, and I laid down a cover of PRE&C for @stldoesween a Ween charity comp of St. Louis artists. We all saw Ween together with the one and only Thom and it was so totally sweet and full of tasters. Making this with longtime dean-ween-guitar-moves-referencing friends was a fun time I won’t forget, very brown. You can pre-order the comp and listen to our recording now! Thanks to Jim for the beautiful bass to pluck on by @theboythationceknew

Excited to share that we’ll be playing on Saturday, March 2nd at @spinebookstorecafe as part of their no cover series!! It will be a very nice low key affair and I’m thinking of doing a duo set with the one and only Adam Bautz. A big thanks to @wilson.ridge.stl for hosting this event and thinking of us. I met them through the Adrianne Lenker school of song class—yet another cool example of music bringing people together! taken in Spine Bookstore & Café by @theboythationceknew

Recently participated in the @school_of_song workshop taught by Adrianne Lenker with my friend @napnaptimetime and wrote my first song in open G!! As a blues convert it is really cracking my brain open. Loved the class and felt very inspired. Thank you to everyone who put it on and I met while participating!! by @theboythationceknew
