Not sure who needs to hear this but you won’t get better with time if the way you’re braiding is not working in the first place

You’re constantly struggling to get through every style , your hand placement feels weird and forced, the end result looks like crap… let’s be honest

Before I found the right raiders to learn from my stitch braids were awful 😥 especially on thicker textures. Once day I bought a course and began studying , weeks went by and I was able to apply what I learned each time. With repetition I eventually became one of the best braiders in my city.

Anyways, I say this to show you it’s possible !! I definitely didn’t see my work going thus far but it did because I had the right techniques to apply.

I’m teaching you those same techniques!! I’m giving away all my braiding courses (I once charged $300 for) on YouTube 🎥

Normalize being a student⬇️

We all want to be great but in order for you to be great at anything you must first become a student.

Everyone tells me how gifted and talented I am because of my work but GIRL.. can I be honest with you ??

The ONLY reason my work is as neat as it is ? I bought a course and I continuously practiced what I learned. Over and over and over again. I mean, it helped me tremendously in my journey!! This is the reason I ended up creating braiding courses in the first place😌

But NOW I’m being called in a different direction so what will I do with all my courses?? 🧐

Well, since the idea is to move away from braiding selling the courses doesn’t feel right anymore… I’ll just give everything away for free

I was very emotional making this video but it reminded me of how far I’ve come.

I’ve always known I wanted to become an entrepreneur and that financial security was important to me. At 15 I started working. I worked 5-6 days a week for years.. sometimes I’d have 2, even 3 jobs at one time. I was not happy and I tried so bad to create that. Unfortunately, on this part of the journey I wasn’t meant to attain such a feeling.

I wasn’t able to create genuine happiness in my life until I started trusting my own ability to take care of myself. Until I started trusting God would take care of me no matter what. Until I was in alignment with purpose.

I started my business in Dec 2022, I became fully self employed Sept 2024, I moved out the country Nov 2025.

I have so much more in store as I continue my entrepreneurial journey. It’s not linear and sometimes it’s extremely challenging but it is rewarding. It teaches you faith like no other experience..

I hope my story inspires you to continue to chase what you want. If that is a career, then do that. If it’s financial freedom, then do that. I’ll always cheer on anyone who has a dream and continues to work towards that every day, no matter the external circumstances.

when you think too hard about it is when you will start to mess up! once you add it in you just continue braiding down as if you didn’t even stop!!

alsooo, make sure the piece of hair you’re adding is not extremely thick ! by @thebraiderssociety

READ CAPTION⬇️

When you’re tucking the clients natural color behind the braiding hair here’s some important things to know:

1. You must have Bligh braiding hair added to the knotless braid to cover the natural hair color behind it

2. When you’re tucking , keep your fingers and grip tight !

3. Add gel to the natural hair you want to tuck to make it easier! The gel will slick it together and keep everything in place for a seamless pass
