Hello there👋 If today is your first time visiting, a huge welcome to you! I’m Michelle and it’s great to have you here! I relocated from Sydney to the delightful Sunny Coast around 5 years ago and created @thebranddance - a destination that helps small business founders and creators share their ideas and products with the world with total clarity and confidence. I've worked for big media companies a long (REALLY long time) and have spent my career (so far!) creating, telling and sharing the stories of brands big and small. Now, I work with small business founders from all over - from the city to the country - helping them launch and grow their business into the big brands they want them to be. I love the varied work that we do here @thebranddance and I’m so grateful to you for stopping by today and being part of it, Thankyou! Fee free to leave a comment below if you'd like to introduce yourself or DM me in the comments to connect. Have a happy day - MB 💃 📸 @kirstcunninghamphoto #smallbusinessmarketing #smallbusinesssunshinecoast #marketingtips #brandstrategy #contentcreation #smallbusinessqld #ladystartup by @thebranddance

And just like that....I was back in the concrete jungle. As I mentioned in our subscriber email, I rarely include personal essays on @thebranddance blog. This month is a little different though as I take you on an adventure to the start (and finish🎉) line of the 2024 @nycmarathon which took place a few weeks ago. It was a HUGE week in the 'city that never sleeps' and I can't wait to share more over the coming days! In the meantime, enjoy this post, the full read is linked above. Let me know what you think. - MB 💃 by @thebranddance
Scaffolding. But make it FASHION. 👜 Why have normal metal poles and planks when you can have this?!?!? This is the scene that awaits you when you take a stroll down 5th Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. The flagship @louisvuitton store in New York City is currently undergoing a massive renovation, with a remodelled store set to be unveiled around 2027. The design features a tower of iconic Louis Vuitton monogrammed trunks with 3D replicas of the locks and rivets which were hand welded. During construction, the brand has relocated to a temporary site around the corner but in the meantime, the most luxurious construction site of all time is pulling admirers far and wide. It really was incredible to see up close! 📍East 57th and 5th Ave, Manhattan, NYC by @thebranddance
To New York and back…. 💫 It was a BIG, busy week in the city that never sleeps…stay tuned next week for a blog post on one of the wildest days of my life plus I’ll be sharing a few fun sights that caught my eye along the way 👀 🗽 Happy weekend friends! 💃 - MB by @thebranddance
One of my favourite hotels that I've ever stayed at is @byngstreet_hotel in Orange, NSW. I was also lucky enough to be able to do a brand shoot here too for @thebranddance (one my favourite ever!) with the delightful @kirstencunninghamcommercial. This week, the talented owners of Byng St Hotel, Kristen and Tom, announced they were closing their business to move onto their next adventure. @byngstreet_hotel remains one of the most awarded and applauded accommodation businesses in the country which is a pretty impressive feat for a boutique hotel in a regional location. The talent of the team behind the hotel was so visible the moment you walked in the doors - the interiors are a chic, colourful combination of modern design meets historic charm with service that is second to none. So I wanted to take a moment to say a huge congratulations to Kristen, Tom and the entire team at the Byng St Boutique Hotel on all that you achieved in your time in operation. Thankyou for being such a pleasure to work with, I hope you are walking away immensely proud of all that you've achieved and I can't wait to see what you do next! 📸 @kirstencunninghamcommercial Shot on location @byngstreet_hotel Orange, NSW #smallbusiness #visitnsw #orange360 #boutiquehotel #tourismnsw by @thebranddance
Despite being half way into 2024, I'm in planning mode for 2025 and a fresh new brand shoot is calling. 📸🤳 I LOVE a location shoot. Choosing places that are different, I spiraling and help to perfectly tell the story of what @thebranddance offers. I've always put A LOT of thought into a shoot location (for both @thebranddance and our clients) as to me, it's so important for not only storytelling and ensuring the brand message is aligned for a specific audience but also that it is delivered in a unique way and stands out amongst the noise. Particularly now, there are so many shoots I see with the same style of location and aesthetic and regardless if you are shooting for a personal brand, a business brand, with talent or product etc, let me tell you, it pays to be true to one's brand personality. To be ORIGINAL. Especially if you are fortunate enough to bring a shoot idea to life in situ rather than just a studio. So the question is....do I keep my plans local or perhaps head abroad? ✈️🧳🤔 I'd love to hear your favourite shoot locations, drop a comment below or send me a DM with a suggestion! - MB 💃 #contentcreation #brandshoot #smallbusinessmarketing #photoshoot #smallbusinesssunshinecoasst #communication #storytelling by @thebranddance
It's that time again, calling all those business owners and brand founders interested in booking a on-on-one consultation with @thebranddance for August and September '24. We have a few slots still available so send us a DM if you'd like to lock in a brand chat, alternatively you can book via the calendar link in our bio. If you aren't sure if a one-on-one is right for you, head on over to the TBD Shop and check out the digital resources, you might find just what you need in there to help you on your way also. We can't wait to work with you. 💃 #smallbusinessmarketing #smallbusinessbrandstrategy #copywriting #brandstrategy #smallbusinesssqueensland #communications by @thebranddance
As we head towards the half way point of 2024 and also the end of the financial year (!) I just wanted to take a moment to say a HUGE THANKYOU for the support this year so far. It's been a total pleasure and privilege meeting new clients, securing such awesome new projects and meeting small business owners, creators and founders from all around Australia. Looking forward to what's instore for the next 6 months! What are you most looking forward to? I'd love to hear all about it! - MB 💃 Image: @thebranddance (captured on the streets of Soho, New York City - artwork credit unknown) by @thebranddance
