I'm finally getting to process the things that God did these past few weeks at camps that I've gotten to lead worship at with some incredibly talented people who I consider some of my best friends. Lots of sweet moments of students crying out to the Lord. Specifically at @launchsnba which holds a special place in my heart/ministry. It's been an honor to serve there these last few years. This camp's heart for kids to experience and grow in God’s word is inspiring and so needed. The band was so blessed one night—we got to join an amazing youth group for their church time. Their students lead some worship songs and I was in tears listening to them sing. They were truly desiring God’s presence. It was a moment I will never forget.

I'm still blown away that God lets us serve Him and others in this way. For His glory alone. 🙌

Amazing week at @launchsnba camp with these incredible worship leaders! We were so encouraged by the students and their hearts for worship. There were tears of gratitude running down my face as they were singing as loud as they could. I couldn’t stop smiling. 🥹 The joy of the Lord is a beautiful thing. It was such a special week that I will never forget. God’s presence was so real and evident. Can’t believe we get to serve Him this way. Glory to God!!

Last week was incredible. I so much enjoyed getting to worship with @apexstudentcamp!! I got to play alongside some very talented people who love using their gifts for the cause of Christ. And the love that these students have for worship and the Lord is inspiring. I am humbled that God allows me to do this—I so often feel unqualified, insecure, and undeserving to lead worship. In fact every time I get the opportunity it terrifies me. It is a big responsibility that I don’t take lightly. But I don’t know if I would have it any other way, for when I am weak He is strong. I am thankful for a perfect Father that lets me lean on Him and He takes care of the rest. Less of me more of Him.

These students are the future, and in Christ, the future looks bright.

Jesus is Lord.

One of my best friends brought this revelation that I had to life, and it is so GOOD!

I KNOW IT’S LONG—BUT PLEASE READ

“But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.” And Peter left the courtyard, weeping bitterly.” - ‭‭Luke‬ ‭22‬:‭60‬-‭62‬

It doesn’t say what kind of expression Jesus had in The Gospel of Luke. I would like to think it’s not an expression of shock, or disappointment or anger, or not even a “I told you so” smirk….all I can picture is compassion and understanding. He knows exactly why we are going to do what we do and how it will make us feel after the fact. Peter immediately felt ashamed—and Jesus immediately felt compassion. And I know for me and probably for anyone, that degree of compassion is really hard to comprehend or even accept. So the easy thing to do is to run away from it—because we don’t feel worthy enough to be met with such love, mercy and grace. It almost feels like out of such compassion comes more shame. But that’s not the way He sees it. We are immediately met with gentleness and forgiveness. Peter’s denial more than likely hurt Jesus, but it never changed His love for him. He never saw Peter or even Judas for that matter in a different light. He still loved and ministered to them even after He foretells of Peter’s denial and Judas’ betrayal. I think in that moment the Lord Jesus had already restored Peter by expressing to him in just a look “I know my son….I know. It’s ok. I love you.” And that is the expression we tried to capture in this painting. Jesus is quick to exonerate and quick to restore. There’s no process to His absolution. It’s just who He is.

Only The Son of a perfect God could love like that. Only Jesus.

He will always welcome you back home.

We had such an amazing time at Apex Camp!! I was blessed to work with a super talented team. 👏🙌 The students were so hungry for the Lord’s presence…It was such a blessing to witness teenagers fully crying out to the Lord and singing “Give me Jesus!” at the top of their lungs! A little glimpse of Heaven.

Can’t believe we get to serve Him this way. 🙏
