I am humbled to receive the Father of the Year award for the 8th year in a row. (For those wondering: yes, the selection committee does reuse the same trophy every year... it's eco friendly!)

The first year I received this award (in mug form, to be fair), I had only be a father for 10 days. I knew that even though I had put in the work and it was an honest selection, I was standing on the shoulders of giants and still had my work cut out for me if I wanted to be one of the fabled multi-year winners.

Now, in my 8th year as the recipient of this highly selective prize, which goes through an extremely thorough and unbiased selection process, I still have that feeling: even though I am the Father of the Year (8x winner), I can still get better!

To all the other aspiring Father of the Year finalists, your time will come. Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

Rest in peace, Lupin. You were the sweetest, kindest, most caring dog. You jumped into my lap and snuggled me the moment we met a little over nine years ago, you snuggled my dad when he was sick and kept him company, you snuggled both of my boys when they came into the world, and we snuggled right until the last moment. We love you and we are going to miss you so much. Whatever comes next, we'll find you and we'll snuggle you there. I hope we gave you a wonderful home; I know you made our home wonderful. by @thebrinos

Miles turned 4 a few days ago! He is one of the sweetest and silliest (and I mean silly) kids I know. He loves babies, board games, his brother, and an imaginary place called Catland. We love you Miles! by @thebrinos

Happy birthday to this incredible 7 year old!!!! (😭😭😭)

He loves games of any and all kinds, huge basketball fan, loves school and his friends, super into tectonic plates, will spend his free time simply reading any map he can find (he does not get this from me), and is just one of the sweetest kids in the whole world. We love you Simon! by @thebrinos

Proud dad moment! Simon, 6 years old and 1st grade, won his school's (K-8th grade) chess tournament - beating a 14 year old in the championship game! This kid loves to game!

Happy birthday to the cutest (now) 3 year old in the world! Miles loves trains, animals, art, and playing board games with his brother. He somehow always manages to have chocolate smeared on his face, and his vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. He has an adorable giggle and loves to be mischievous.
