Mental Illness Awareness Week is coming October 5–11, giving us an opportunity to increase awareness, challenge stigma, and remind one another that mental health IS health.

Mental illness doesn’t always look the way we expect. The person who is smiling, serving, achieving, caring for everyone else, and saying “I’m fine” may still be struggling behind the scenes.

As we prepare for Mental Illness Awareness Week, let’s be intentional about checking in—with ourselves AND with each other.

Send the text. Make the call. Listen without judgment. Encourage support. And remember that asking for help is a sign of self-awareness, not weakness.

💗 Let’s break the stigma.
💚 Let’s start the conversation.
💗 Let’s build community.

And most importantly, let’s keep asking:

“How are you REALLY doing?”

To CHAMPION SERVICE, we must also champion the women doing the serving. 💕💚

What an honor to pour into my sisters of Alpha Delta Iota Omega Chapter at their FIRST official chapter retreat! @alphadeltaiotaomega

Our time together was a beautiful reminder that Health Awareness & Well-Being isn’t just about caring for our bodies—it’s also about protecting our peace, tending to our emotional wellness, creating space for rest, and allowing our sisters to pour back into us.

Because how can we continue to Champion Service if the women doing the serving are running on empty?

We laughed. We reflected. We connected. We poured. And most importantly, we made room to be poured INTO.

Championing Service. Empowering Sisterhood. Transforming the World. And sometimes transformation begins by making sure our own cups aren’t empty.

A special thank you to Chapter President, Erica Cole, for allowing me to be part of this beautiful first. May we continue serving from a place of overflow—not exhaustion. 💕💚✨
