13 years.
We were 13 years old together once. With each other, we could be the kids no one else let us be.
Pizza nights.
Wrestling fights.
Baking dates.
The “gigolo” of the Quint5 girl gang for gahds sake.
Now it’s grief that turns 13. It doesn’t have your laugh. It doesn’t have the sound of your steps on long walks. Teenagers are supposed to be loud and rambunctious but grief, grief is silent and still. Just like your absence.

Sometimes the wind blows like a gentle caress across my face. Sometimes I dream we’re still 13 and you live just down the street.

But all the time, all of it, I miss you.

Jim Beam gifted Kelsey, Tristan and I this big ass plaque for RODE HARD last night 🥲 we dance every second Wednesday at El Cid - next one is June 11! That’s right, FREE entry, FREE dance instructors (even 1on1, thanks @ericcepeda13 ) and now with exclusive Jim Beam cocktails 🍍

this country dance party had only been a dream for almost a decade, @djshortshorts ( & @ascottmoore ) helped me finally bring it to life and El Cid, Tristan & Jim Beam are making it like, really really real. See ya again in June 🤠
